Lighting candals for lunar new year

I went to receive new year eve at the pagoda, I put my shoes in the front door as usual. There were many people in door with many stacks of shoes lying outdoor. Some body stole away my shoes , so I had to wear bare feet that night :)It is my BAD experience that I've ever had in my life. My brother had to give me his socks to save my feet.
