Life after Children
Life after Children magnify

Well.....

Life has been full of changes lately.

My youngest son finally moved out, we got our first new car ever and we are definately not suffering from empty nest. It's a new beginning to a different part of life.

Of course, Dragoncon is on the 90 day horizon and that is taking up part of my bwain. The rest of the time I am at home taking care of all my critters. One dog, five cats, six fish and one snake. Then as before, I must get my chores done before I allow myself to play online.

To all..... life is a journey, not a destination.

Back in the real world. Life after Dragoncon.

After over a week... I am finally writing of my time at this year's Dragoncon.
It was real good, not perfect... but good.
A feeling of aggressiveness in the air I hadn't felt the prior 4 years. Though not one person bothered me personally; the air was charged with a sort of negativity.
The television and movie actors I chose to get autographs from, as usual, cost a small fortune. But for me, it is what I do, collect pictures and autographs of people on shows I watch. Most of the Sci-Fi crowd, alot of anime and gamers too.
Getting to meet quite a few of the Stargate SG-1 team was a highlight. The lines were semi-organized and the volunteers a tad militant; found out later that they had been having problems with crashers and badge fabricators.
As big as this convention is, sometimes I wish it were a tad smaller. I cannot help but tell people of the fun that can be had if you find the "right" crowd. This year I met up with a myspace friend that I tried to catch up with in 06, we had a hoot together; when our schedules allowed.

Hung with the kids a bit... generally watched people.

More later.....

It's that time of year again....

With less than 19 days to go I am going into super-ready, do I have everything panic mode....
Get costumes organized for two different hotels, get weapons out, clean the vehicles, head check on all that are driving with us.... So much to do.

But I can do it. To all who aren't able to make this convention, sorry I will miss you next weekend (gone 5 days)...
To those that will be attending, I can't wait to see you.
New friends and old.
DRAGONCON here we COME!
Are ya ready?

Frelling New monitor
My internet time will be extremely limited. I bought a new lcd monitor 2 weeks ago and had to send it back to the company because 2 days ago I noticed a vertical blue line appear 2 inches front center of midline on my display. So I shipped it back. I don't know when I will be online. I did break out an old CRT monitor we still had, but e-gads I hate it. Image
