I am a Star Trek FREAK and love to dress up. I own many costumes and weaponry. Love going to conventions.
When I was a small child I loved Star Trek.

Well.....
Life has been full of changes lately.
My youngest son finally moved out, we got our first new car ever and we are definately not suffering from empty nest. It's a new beginning to a different part of life.
Of course, Dragoncon is on the 90 day horizon and that is taking up part of my bwain. The rest of the time I am at home taking care of all my critters. One dog, five cats, six fish and one snake. Then as before, I must get my chores done before I allow myself to play online.
To all..... life is a journey, not a destination.
After over a week... I am finally writing of my time at this year's Dragoncon.
It was real good, not perfect... but good.
A feeling of aggressiveness in the air I hadn't felt the prior 4 years. Though not one person bothered me personally; the air was charged with a sort of negativity.
The television and movie actors I chose to get autographs from, as usual, cost a small fortune. But for me, it is what I do, collect pictures and autographs of people on shows I watch. Most of the Sci-Fi crowd, alot of anime and gamers too.
Getting to meet quite a few of the Stargate SG-1 team was a highlight. The lines were semi-organized and the volunteers a tad militant; found out later that they had been having problems with crashers and badge fabricators.
As big as this convention is, sometimes I wish it were a tad smaller. I cannot help but tell people of the fun that can be had if you find the "right" crowd. This year I met up with a myspace friend that I tried to catch up with in 06, we had a hoot together; when our schedules allowed.
Hung with the kids a bit... generally watched people.
More later.....
