ok so most every one around this area is concerned aboout saving the arbuckle aquifer ,not wanting to lose our springs and creeks because of a lowering of the water table. I present this as a solution. How about people stop watering their yards ?
Not only would this save copious anounts of treated water , it would cut down on the number of times the yard has to be mowed. Thereby saving on fuel costs and helping the ozone level.
People living in desert communities have already realised that watering yards is not a good use of a precious resourse . Living here in the cross timers we should also make best use of the limited water we have.
ps the fact that i own a buisness that installs astro turf on residential yards has absolutley no influence on my opinion on this matter.
