from within the smokes

i could see

there was the land

the green , the huts

something calling at you,

but before i could turn towards it,

the fog came down

i stood there...

and i knew that i had lost...

my one only chance....

the mask

it had to fall off one day

but i never cared

to see the person behind the mask

i continued to live in illusion

the illusion i loved

but i never knew

and nobody told me

what was there behind the mask

i still wait

in apprehension

for the day

when reality would dawn

one eveing i looked back...

i saw the dusk, i saw the rain...

few drops of tears in the palm of the hands...

few words repeated and practised in heart but never said,

the picture which blurred over time...

a life with its meaning lost...

unfulfilled love and an empty existence..

i decided ....

never to look back again.

Remember me

as a one beautiful thought.

as a sea whose waves did never last,

remember me

as the name written in the sands

when i am gone

look ..... my soul

will always rest in peace

for i know that there was somebody out there

who really cared

who could understand

the sadness of my existence

and it made me rest in peace

forever.
