Entry for July 28, 2008

I thought my blog had disappeared, but all I had to do was make a new entry and there it all was!

My newest niece is now nine months and she is so sweet, hardly ever fussing. She does this cute little head tilt when she feels shy. My boys showed shyness quite differently.

My boys are getting to that age when they come up to me, "Mom, I'm bored." I never had to come up with ideas to keep them occupied before, they always seemed to have a full tank of energy and ideas all day long. Now I have to keep them from watching T.V. or playing video games for too long. My oldest has always liked dancing (shy about it off & on), so I plan to make him a new DVD of music videos that he can dance to and get dance moves from. My youngest is a little harder since his attention span has never been that long. Maybe a bug kit, so he can catch ladybugs, katydids, then let them go after he has studied them for a while.

In this life, I'm a woman. In my next life, I'd like to come back as a bear. When you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too.

When you're a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you're sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs. I could definately deal with that.

If you're mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.

Yup, gonna be a bear!

Yahoo360

Yahoo 360, or as I have recently heard it referred to as Yahell 360, seems to be in danger of being abandoned by a fair amount of users. I have tried Windows Spaces, MySpace, and Facebook, but Yahoo360 ended up being the one for me. When I first signed up, Yahoo photos had already been cut, with the option to use Flickr already in place. It seems so much easier to find people who have common interests, and the pages are easy and fun to change and personalize. While it would be nice to move modules around, have photo slides, and other extras, I am sure there had to be a better way of handling this transistion. Alot of people (if not everyone) has dealt with many bugs affecting how 360 operates; whether it is comments not displaying, feeds not coming through, not having pictures from Flickr showing on your page, knowing you have new messages but having your inbox show old stuff you know you deleted, number of visitors to your page not displaying, or not even able to get your page to come up at all! These are only the ones I know about. I'm sure staying on top of these bugs, while working on the new social networking community would make a lot of Yahoo users happy. Instead I hear of plans to switch to Multiply from many. Who is in charge of Yahoo360's public relations?! Hello?! I want to stay with Yahoo 360, but I would also like to hear more recent news (as of 2008) about what's happening?
