I was barkeep yesterday and had some die-hard Captain Morgan n coke drinker's....so I 'striked the pose' of the good ole' Captain, cause I could we were slow due to the holiday....I'm hoping no one order's that mojito stuff, not sure if I am willing to dance that one!! lmao

Sooo...today is a day off for me, of course I wake up at 7:30 AM (those who know me would be shocked)

My son is off on a week long trip. sigh.

I might get the cook shift alone next week and Ford's one week shut down will be over. This will be a true test of my endurance and patience. It kills my back...I lost at least 5 lb's this week, the smell of food and alcohol are becoming yucky to me already...lol. I got a taste of the awesome tips I can make in a few hrs at the bar. It will be VERY hard going back to the cook rate. hmmmm, hmmmm

Of course I got a call from a company to manage a place...not a bar. I have been waiting on THAT call for 2 months, go figure it came now. I'm going to check it out Monday.

awe geeesh, on a whim (again) I went into another sports bar down the street and applied for a job...tips and I get along real good

I got a call a week later, they needed a cook...I never cooked professionally so I said my son loves my cooking (LOL) I thought...that was a goofy thing to say anyhoo...I started my job today I had a great time, we were super busy for lunch...my boss said I did a great job. I sure tried hard, that's for sure. An older couple owns this place...it's HUGE...at least 3 times larger than my last place of 'sorta' employment.

The Ford plant is close...they think they own the joint, it's like one big family there..I love itThey have pool and dart leagues....rockin' bands on the weekends....open to 2:30 AM. yadda yadda~~~~

So when the lunch rush was over I was told they want me in the bar area very soon, in fact...I worked the bar from 2-4 today. I bartended for 2 years in the very early 80's...has a blast. I couldn't believe how comfortable I was back there...it's a big 20 x 30 SF bar in the middle. Most peeps are regulars. Chrissy, the day bartender was showing me their super simple system and she gave me away as a birthday present to my first customer (LMAO) I got 'big eyes' on that comment...another tard offered me $300.00 to clean his house naked

.....I said, 'awe no thanks of course they were all joking...this was daytime, next week I will get to work the fun night shift in the bar, or cook...or whatever. I will be slammed from what I hear...but that makes time fly.

I was told it is always uuhm, nice to show some cleavage...ah ha. I said 'awe crap' I just have a bunch of suits' I'll have to work on that one!

So if I can cut it cooking or bartending crazy busy shifts on my own...I think I will stay there for a while. I was told I will be one of the main bartender's in time (yeah me!!!) as I chat with everyone. Something I learned to do being in some sort of customer service position for 37 years...since my first days as a car hop in 76.

So...we'll see how this one goes:) whoop! Oh I have a sneaking suspicion this place will be as wild as that vid down there...yippee!!!!!!!!!!!
