Who is or was this man Jesus? History records His crucifixion and that He did live. We have proof from witnesses, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul and a host of others. The Bible says that where there are two or more witnesses, you find truth. This man Jesus though, was He only a man or was He the Living Son of God. Scripture teaches us that Jesus did come in the flesh just as God had promised in the Old Testament. The word of God promised (foretold) that the Messiah would indeed come to His own (Jews) but that they would not receive Him. They were blinded because they wanted a military King to overthrow Roman tyranny. Jesus brought a message of healing, peace and love. For that reason He was crucified as a person who was a revolutionary and of criminal intent. But today we must also be about His business, revolutionizing individuals lives for the Kingdom. Not with harshness, not with strong armed tactics but through peace, love and Good news. Jesus was who He stated He was...Jesus was both man and God. In the Old Testament Jesus was the word of God. In John 1 we find that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Verse 14 states that the word became flesh. This man Jesus took on flesh with the desire that all would know Him but sadly as He was already aware of they rejected Him. Still, this man Jesus went to a wooden cross, enduring unbearable pain to accept all the sins of mankind on His very person to pay the sin debt forever for every man, woman and child that would ever walk or had walked the face of His creation, earth . On the cross I believe that Jesus looked into the future and saw all of us alive today...we were on His mind, He loved us as no one else has ever loved us or will love us. My decision is this: Jesus is and was the Son of God. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is the Messiah, my Savior and today, yesterday and forever more I receive Him as mentioned before. I am not worthy of His grace because I am a sinner but He took all my filthiness, all my unrighteousness and claimed me as His own. I live today because of Jesus, fully man and fully God.
