Just a brief account of current events

Bon Voyage Gary Gygax

It was sometimes in the 1970's when I had the amazing good fortune to be allowed to sit in on a demo of a new game called Dungeons and Dragons. I was a barely a teen then and in awe of the man weaving a whole new world in the room I was in with nothing but his voice and a few oddly shaped dice. A lot his happened since then, but I will never forget the man that taught me that fantasy is as real as you allow it to be.

Where ever you have gone Gary, be sure to check for traps first....

Lights, Camera, ACTION

Well, not to much action but I did make a couple of clips and post them on youtube. You can see them at:

They will NOT be forgotten

Okay, it's a little late, but I wanted to note the annual TG Day of Remberance. Each year, on November 20th, we need to pause and reflect on the TG women and men that have lost thier lives for no other reason than becuase they were TG and someone decided thier lives were in some way threatened by that. Below is a link to an online comic that is both sad and sobering, but also has other links to a variety of information you need to be aware of.

What's happening
What's happening magnify

Sometimes even I dress like an average woman! :)

My experiment with working at a local retail giant didn't work out. Not becuase of the whole gender issue but becuase they insisted I work far more hours than orginally agreed on. Their needs just were too great for my current situation caring for Ms Quinn. It is ironic that the easier the job, the greater it's demands can be.

So, its back to square one, looking for a means of support. I need something with a little flexibility in scheduling and that seems to be the tuffie. Have a couple opportunities to explore though, so we shall see.

She never promised me a Rose Garden

Since I get asked a lot about the state of my real life when I am online, here is the latest. It is not too rosy, but it's not all gloom and doom either. Ms Quinn was released from the hospital a little over a week ago. She has been diagnosed with something called Multiple Myeloma, which is a type of cancer. Like most cancers, it is not curable, but it appears to be treatable. She began chemotherapy today. We will have to see how she responds to it over the next few months before we plan much long term.

Not surprisingly, there is a lot of anxiety here. I hope to be starting back into a paying job soon. It's not much of a job if I get it but money is money. I am waiting on a background check to finalize the hiring process. I am kinda uneasy about it. Thou I have lived as a woman for 17 years with legal name changed and all records amended as best I can tell, a woman in my position can’t help but wonder about what information may come up. While I am not hiding anything, I have decided not to volunteer any information unless asked. We shall see.

Regardless of the outcome of that, I continue seeking a more lucrative job so I can handle all expenses on my own should Ms Quinn not be able to work. If anyone in Southern Mississippi, the San Antonio Area, or the Atlanta Area has an inside track on a job a former Computer Network Administrator or Office Manager that happens to be a tranny could fill, please feel free to drop me an email. Other areas might be considered as well but those are the area I am focusing on for now. Relocation is still an option of last resort for now.

Well, that's entirely too big a dose of reality for my tastes but such is life. My stay it home Maids position is a fond memory for now. Who knows what the future holds. I remind myself I have been far more fortunate than most to experience what I have and I am grateful. I will still don cap and apron as the situation allows. In fact, look for new photos in the near future of me in my latest uniform, the traditional Nurses Whites. The look started off as a gag to lift Ms Quinn’s mood, but like many things I try, if I am gonna do it, I am gonna do it as good as I can. It's funny, as a US Army Vet, you would think I would have had my fill of uniforms, but I seem to keep winding up in one!
