Love for Birds

You must care for Nature and your care for Nature should turn into Love for it. If you love Nature then you must love it's inevitable part that is “Animal”. Among the animals, one of the most beautiful animals is “Bird”. Doesn’t their twittering make you happy? If so, then please check this http://www.iifm.ac.in/downloads/lark/ .

It is a software created by our beloved CSR sir along with Pratap Singh and Vijay Cavale. This software has many details, including calls (sounds) of birds in Central India. You could download this application free of cost. It’s really wonderful.

IIFM Placement: My Thought

First of let me tell that I am not a rebel or radical thinker. Simple thoughts come to my simple mind and I try to find answer. So one wired thought..though it was coming to my mind but it is triggered by the debate competition of literately club on the occasion of the silver jubilee celebration of IIFM. The question is whether IIFM's mandate matches with IIFM's placement?

Now what is IIFM's mandate--in 1982 when the IIFM was established it aim to cater managerial input in forest and allied sector(now the big question is what is allied sector?) for conservation of forest, biodervisity leading to better socio and economic condition of India.

Now see this year's placement. Eight people going in India Bulls, 7 in ICICI-Prudential, 5 in HDFC, 7 in ICICI-RMAG, 3 in IMRB and 1 in OLAM international. so 32 students are going in banking, marketing research and timber procurement. So where is forest..does anyone smelling the scent of tree? No..I am smelling only the money!

The people are arguing that those are going in the Banking Sector are serving the forest allied sector. how..coz they will work in Rural sector and Microfinance sector which help them in income generation leading to less dependency on forest and conservation of forest with socio-economic development. There are very famous incident where half truth create massive impacts ("Aswathama iti Gaja" in Mahabharat). The people going in banking sector- what they will do to uplift the people? Microfinace- which bank in India giving loan to the tribal who are the major component of forest in India. The penetration of MF in tribal society is only 2-3%. Again the credit which giving till now major portion is going for Animal Husbandry. So where is forest? Will ICICI-Prudential give insurance to people with empty stomach.

What kind of profile India bulls, HDFC and ICICI-RMAG are giving ? In simple words - It is "SELL". They have nothing to do with the social upliftment. Rural market is untapped..so trap it. Pure Business Motive. There is no linkage with Livelihood in this.

Timber Procurement officer in Olam International ..will he regenerate trees? I dnt know!

So why IIFM. Can any one justify the fact that the profile HDFC or ICICI-PRU or India Bulls giving to XIMB or IRMA student is same as IIFM student. So why "F". It could be as "Indian Institute of Rural Banking Management".

Now whom to blame? Students..absolutely not..where is the opening in forestry sector..what is Govt is doing to absorb IIFM students.

Again the mandate was made in 1979..it has been 29 years had gone..do IIFM need to revise it's mandate? who will have the final answer?

At the end it can be said that all the violation of mandate is for good of students. So everyone is happy and im also...and sincerely waiting for the placement party by Seniors.

Top ten picture of my karnataka trip
Top ten picture of my karnataka trip magnify

Pic-1:

It was last day of my trip, i was on my train to Bhopal sitting on the upper birth of the train. A 28 year boy(later came to know his name Rohan, a guitarist) with big hair(my dream) helping her Girlfriend(22year old) litteraily like child before she goes for sleep.Rohan was making bed for her, arranging pillow, covering the girl with blanket and the way he said good night to her..still on my eyes..when i will be the boy and dear you will be that girl..dear i love you so much!

Pic-2:

Dear, before entrance in my life(that was in third year of my graduation), my interaction with girl was like Polar Bear interacting with Penguins(both belong to different pole of the world). now in this field trip many occasion i was going for walk.breakfast.tiffin,lunch,dinner with two girls who were my teammates…my god..my parents will also not believe this! this is pic no 2.hope Kalpana and Shewata will not mind any thing.

Pic-3:

It would be my eating of Rice.Though this pic was more important to my team mates but i fell it is mention worthy.after so many days i eat rice with so freely.Shewata says that with the concentration i eat rice..if i study with same concentration i may become topper. good picture na!

Pic-4:

It was first day!we dont have reservation of our tickets…so we were given royal treatment by Mr.Lalu and Co.we were sitting beside the bathroom..and i was eating egg curry and roti(Bread) in front of the bathroom sitting on the floor.can’t there be any better picture in the whole trip.

Pic-5:

It was on Goa beach. I saw a bangali family(and u know how much i become excited if i see any bangali family).excitement was doubled as i saw a pretty beautiful girl(literally she was a girl..vry young) now shewata made challenge with me that the girl was unmarried but i was telling her that she is married. now to verify this i was roaming around that girl to see whether she had put vermilion on her head or not!!! now does not it sound adventurous than trekking through forest.

Pic-6:

It was in Anshi National Park. we were staying there in Nature Camp(nothing but hang out place for people with handsome amount of money, projecting themself that see “how close im with nature”..in Banglai language”boroloki chal”)!now in that camp, inside the tent i was operating my laptop in the lamp(which run by kerosin oil ) light.it reminded me of my home in my village where i used ti operate my radio in my childhood in the lamp light..from radio to laptop..nothing can better capture my transformation…thats why it is no six pic.

Pic-7:

it could be the lunch at Vanvasi Nursery(15 km away from Circi).now why is it so special..imagine a scene..in open area..we were sitting on the chair table..along with ACF and his stuff..pure north indian style food(not to mention.great chicken) are being served to us..and the food and the chair table were brought in a truck specially for us..this was the USP of our trip..Royal Treatment(except few places)…thats why it is no 7!

Pic-8:

It is really hard to explain for me why this pic is all about but from inside of my heart it is very important to mention. it was an afternoon in Circi.all had gone to market and i was alone. now i went to the bus stand alone..there i eat something and drink tea..the feeling there was quite amazing.i was thinking that it would be my life after one year when i will be working in unknown place..people dnt me,me perhaps dnt know that local language…strange feeling.thats why it is no no 8.

Pic-9:

All the above picture was soumik centered na..its unfair..me was so close to nature still no picture of nature.so last two will be nature centered.pic 9 will be rainbow on jog fall.yea i was in jog fall and we went absolute nadir point of jog fall and when we were climbing up then the sunlight showed its beauty over jog fall by creating spectacular rainbow…at least three rainbow on three separate fall..amazing scenic beauty..really feast to eyes.

Pic-10:

It could be anything..me doing white water rafting in beautiful kali river(this river is mysterious like u dear) or banana riding or dolphin ride again on kali river.

Lot more picture coming in mind…thanks Karnatak..for such wonderful experience…nice people..nice food..nice guest house..all are nice!

i will never forget this experience in my life!

IIFM rocks
With boom in Indian Economy and banking sector focusing on rural finance, IIFMights are getting outmost important for the recruiters in this sector, placement 2007 in IIFM scenario reflects the same. All the leading banks, marketing research organization have came to IIFM campus for placement 2007. Like previous year international organization Olam International came with highest package which is around 30 lakh per annum and it’s a foreign placement.Next highest package was offered by Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB) for domestic placement and it was 7.25 lakh per annum. 4 students were placed in IMRB. Talking about the banking sector, ICICI-RMAG has recruited 7 students with package of 6 lakh +, ICICI- Prudential has recruited 7 students with package of 6 lakh+, India Bulls Securities Ltd has recruited 8 students with package of 6 lakh+, HDFC bank has recruited 5 students with package of 4.75 lakh. In the Microfinance Sector, SKS microfinance has recruited 2 students with package of around 3.6 lakh per annum.
Now if I talk about the PPOs (pre placement offer) ,One Student has done it in the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) with package of arond 7.5 lakh and one in TERI with average package of 4 lakh per annum.
IIFMights are always demanding choice in Paper industry. This year Grasim Industry, part of Aditya Birla Group has recruited 5 students with average package of 4.2 lakh and it includes international offer and J.k Paper has recruited I student with package of 3.85 lakh per annum.
Considering the all package , the average package will be around 6 lakh+ which is far better than last year package of 4.2 lakh+. so in a word placement 2007 in iifm was rocking and according to our seniors and professors it will be better in the coming years.
I also thank Ashish sir and other seniors who has set this high benchmark. I also thank our favorite sir Prof. Biswas sir for his continuous and meticulous efforts in the placement, without him this was not possible.
