Hi everyone!!!! You all probably thought I was dead, hugh? LOL I've been doing all sorts of things the past few months, so I have neglected my page dreadfully!! James & I have split up again, so I've been a little depressed. We're getting along really well now, so I'm hoping things will fall back into place.

Since I was here last, my mother has lived with me for a year, & I finally had to ask her to move out. I hated to do it, I'm not one to put family out, but it had to happen. She's just too nosey, judgemental, & negative for me. I don't think any of that is going to change, so I had to get her out of here.

I will be having surgery for a ruptured disk in my back in the next few weeks, so wish me luck! I'll update everyone about the exact date of the surgery when I set it up.

I hope you all are doing well, & maybe we can all touch base soon. I've missed all of you!!!!!

Hi everyone!!! I know, I know......I'm being slack about making blog entries again. LOL I'm sorry to have waited so long, but I DO have a good reason. MY JAMES IS HOME!!!!!!!!!

He has been home for a couple of weeks now, & is back at work at his old job until he gets a new place in the military. The kids & I are all so happy to have him home safe!!! We've been spending a lot of time together, & getting along very well, so I'm a happy camper!!!

Other than that, there isn't much to tell on this end. I cancelled my surgery, & have decided to wait until a later time to have it. My diabetes is holding pretty steady most of the time. I have started a new diet, & am hoping to be able to post a blog in a couple of months telling you all how much weight I've lost!!! Wish me luck!!! I'll also be seeing a weight loss specialist on 8/16, so that should help too.

I have been thinking about all of you, & wondering how you're all doing. I hope everyone is well & happy. I DO check messages on my yahoo IM & here as well frequently, so let me know how things are going!!! Love & hugs to you all!!!!! Bye for now..........

Entry for June 23, 2007 I CAUGHT ONE!!!!!!! magnify

Well everyone-today was the day!! I finally caught one of those huge fish I've been harping on! I have no idea exactly how much it weighed, but I DO know it was heavy!!!! If I had to guess, I'd probably say around 20 pounds. It sure doesn't look that big looking at the picture, but it was!! I threw him back, but only after taking a couple of pics!! I don't really have a lot to talk about in this blog, but you all know I HAD to show you all my fish! LOL

For those of you who are interested, James should be back in the states very soon. I can't be too specific about when he will be home, but I'll say it won't be too much longer. All of your prayers have worked, & he will be coming safely home to us soon.

I will leave it at this for now, but I will have a new blog really soon! Love to all of my friends!!!!

Hi everyone!! I guess you're all wondering why the heck I have a picture of a big ol' cow on this blog! LOL Well, my Dad's girlfriend's daughter just married a guy who raises cattle, & I took my mom & the kids to see them the other day. I loved watching Ayanna's reactions as the cows made their noises & watched us as we looked around. They are so curious!! I never had any idea that cows actually LIKE to be petted, but they do. There are several baby calfs expected this fall, so I will have to go get pictures of those to post. That should be really cute!!

My surgery has been scheduled for July 24th, for those of you that are interested. James will be home then, so he will be with me. I'm getting more anxious every day!! I can't wait to see him again-it seems like it has been forever! I went to an appointment the other day that ended up lasting much longer than I had expected, & came home in a not-so-good mood. Well, as always-James had done something, even all the way from Iraq, to lift my spirits. I came home to 3 dozen red roses, A teddy bear, & a little box of chocolates. I've never been the type to need someone to buy me things, but these flowers cheered me up SO much. James is always doing sweet things like that for me. That's just the way he is. Sorry to all of you women out there who still haven't found your true love-I have taken one of the good guys off the market!!! LOL I love you, James!!!!!

Now, to tell you all about the fishing thing. It has gotten to be more work than fun these last couple of weeks, as we've fished out over 100 babies to give the bigger fish room to grow. Brooke actually hooked the huge catfish I had mentioned before, but the darn thing broke her line.......AGAIN!! So, we'll just have to keep trying. LOL

That's about all for now, so I'll end with that. Thank you all for being such good friends! I hope you are all doing well, & know that you are all in my heart!! Bye for now.......

Just an Update-June 8, 2007
Just an Update-June 8, 2007 magnify

So-last time I posted was when I had first started fishing. And yes-I'm still at it!! LOL I fished for 4 hours today, & got one heck of a sunburn, but no fish!! Oh well, it was fun anyway. My daughter, Brooke, caught about a 12 pound catfish, but before we could get the net down to the water to get him out, he bit down on the line & broke it. She was SO excited!!! My Mom caught one that was about 2 pounds, which was good since all we usually catch is babies. We fished out about 100 babies so that the others would have room to grow, so that should help a lot. I guess that remains to be seen!! I threw some homemade bread out into the water, & it was only about 3 minutes before we looked & saw a catfish that HAD to weigh close to 20 pounds!!! It came right to the top of the water over & over, eating the bread. It was a rush just LOOKING at it-I think I'd pass out if I got it on my hook!! LOL Oh-the pic at the top of this blog is my latest catch. Not too big, but I was proud of it!!

Anyway, I had a rather wierd & scary morning yesterday!! I was asleep, & suddenly felt something crawl along my arm to my hand. Of course I threw my hand around, being that I was totally freaked out. Long story short, it was a spider. But not just ANY spider. It was a brown recluse!!!! Talk about freaking out!!!!! I thought I'd NEVER get to sleep last night! I took a flashlight & searched every inch of that room before I would get into bed, & even then, I refused to get under the covers!! It sounds comical, I know. But I was never this scared of spiders before. I never LIKED them, of course, but NOW.............omg-I am so scared of them it's not even funny. Let's move on....I'm getting creeped out! LOL

I spoke to James a little while ago, & he is still doing well. He will be leaving Iraq in just a couple of weeks, & coming home soon after that. I"M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! Ayanna has been asking how many more weeks until Daddy comes home, so I can't wait for her to see him. I think this time apart has been both a curse as well as a blessing for the whole family. On one hand, we missed him so very much, & worried so much about him. But, on the other hand, the time apart has brought he & I a lot closer, so that's good. I can't wait to see him. Thanks again to you all for your prayers!!!

I had mentioned before that my mother would be moving in with me. She has been with me now for about a month, & things are going well. She & I haven't had much time to spend together for the past few years, so it's nice to have her with me. We spend a lot of time just sitting home watching our favorite shows, & we also do a lot of fishing, as I've said. All in all, things are going really well with her being here.

We had a very exciting day last week. Our baby girl, Ayanna, "graduated" from preschool!!!! I will be posting a new album soon with pics from her graduation program. They sang & danced...it was precious!!! So next year she's off to kindergarten, & she is already excited about it. James & I are so very proud of her. We always knew she would bring a great deal of joy to our lives, but I don't think we ever realized just HOW much joy she would bring. She & her sister Brooke are both a blessing, as are all kids. I thank God every day for the both of them.

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I see the doctor for my pre-op appointment on June 14th at 4p.m., so I'll be letting you all know when that will be.

That about does my news for now, so I'll end with that. I hope you all are doing well, & I love all of you dearly!!!!
