Every april 1st for the last 29 years, there has been this Parade in San Francisco - Saint Stupid Day's parade. Its organized by the First Church of the Last Laugh, which claims to be the biggest church on earth, as everybody in the world is a member of it (by default.. as we share one common gene - stupidity gene :)) Anyway.. pretty wacky stupid parade... imagine people walking down the street chanting - 'we are stoopid', some dressed as Jesus Christ, some butt naked, some in clown attire... Only in San Francisco !

Even though Mauritius is a small island, there are a good 30-40 mauritians in the San Francisco Bay Area (fremont, sunnyvale, burlingame, san mateo, berkeley, foster city, redwood city, palo alto, san francisco, san jose etc..) . We usually have get togethers a few times a year and we had one last week for the mauritian independance day celebrations. Check out this video of us singing the mauritian national anthem.
