Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving magnify
Hello Everyone:

It has been a lovely day. This year for us is anything but typical. Some of my family was out of town and others had to work which meant that Thanksgiving this time was just for the three of us, Tom, Mel and me.

With over half of the cooking utensils buried in a box somewhere ready for the movers come Monday, (or already over there in the grange) I was not going to try and cook a thanksgiving feast. So we went to a restaurant.

We stood in line with other cheerful people waiting to get in. The smells were delicious and once seated we headed for the buffet. The food was wonderful and we had such a lovely meal, (we took a take-home turkey dinner for Chris and she dug in as soon as she got home.)

We are grateful to the Gods at all levels that we are warm and cozy inside (it was 20 degrees outside). We are thankful for all the blessings that have come our way in the last year--there have been many--but especially the finding of our new home.

Each day as we pack and clean we get more excited as we move closer to the time we will actually be there. As of today, it has been 20 days since we made an offer on that house. The time has flown by and yet at the same time it feels much longer.

Yesterday we took a huge load (a small trailer, and two pickup trucks full) of "stuff" over to the garage--the other people have not moved out yet--and tomorrow we will do this again.

The house we are living in is beginning to look bare with pictures down and most of the boxes gone now. We are living with just the necessities--which just proves that we don't actually most of that "stuff."

So we wish you all the best of all things. May you feel the same blessed love and companionship we feel this Thanksgiving Day.

Love to you all,
Caryl

On the Move!
On the Move! magnify

Hello Friends:

Well at least this time I have something to write about… Sometimes with this Blog I feel a little like a kid at school sharing show and tell.

As many of you know, Mel and his wife live with us and have now for a year and a half. It is always an adjustment when adults live together in close quarters. We older people are kind of set in our ways. However, space has been one of our biggest challenges. So late in October we started looking on the internet for a house. (That was just a bit over a week ago) We had thought of building and actually tried to find some land, but just could not find anything we liked in our price range. So this was our “second approach” to solving the space challenge.

The short version is, we saw a house we liked on the internet. We went to that address and saw it from the street. Then we called our agent to arrange to see the inside. Two days later we made an offer, and two days after that the sellers accepted.

Since that time, the 30 day escrow has been shortened and we are on a crash program to get all the packing done and in by the 24th of this month.

We believe that this house was made for our extended family with the ZZ Mission in mind. It sits on one acre and the house is huge, with plenty of space for a few guests at a time. Actually has one room that is like a conference room and can be separated from the living portion of the house with French doors. From this room there is a stairway to the ZZ office on the next floor. The views are spectacular and where the grounds are a bit primitive, in time we will improve them.

We have always desired to hold small intimate retreats—intensive study sessions and this home will allow us to do just that. So we are excited and grateful. We know that Zeb and Zarna had a hand in leading us to this place. There have been synchronicities with the address and the names of agents and the timing… It just all fell into place.

We channeled ZZ and they told us that they would “expedite” matters. Well two days later the date of closing was pushed up! Guess they have been working on it.

Well that is the story… and I am sure you saw the picture at the top of this Blog. I will try to keep you updated with our progress.

Other pictures can be found on our Message Board….

Catching Up
Catching Up magnify

I looked at the date of my last blog entry and could not believe it had been so long since I last shared my thoughts here. I think this has happened because nothing really earth shattering has occurred in my life in the last few months. Life has settled in to a predictable pattern, comfortable yet challenging.

The ZZ Mission continues to grow, with new people emailing and asking questions. Our Open Forums in our chat rooms continues as well as the healing sessions, new articles on the website and new channeled information keeps me busy with transcription.

Through the summer I tackled several projects. One of those projects was having a new wood floor put in the entry, dining room, and kitchen areas in our house. I was pleased with the results but it became obvious, once the floor was down, that the banister and railings that separate the dining room from the family room needed to be refinished. I decided to do it, but what I job—all those spindles! It took me weeks because I could not get the stain right the right color. I learned a lesson—I don’t think I will ever refinish a banister again.

The other major project, which was all started because of this new floor, was refinishing our dining room table. We bought this dining room set used (probably built around 1920) in 1976. At that time we had the chairs recovered and used the table as well as the buffet, server, and china cabinet as they were. I have grown to love those pieces and yet with our expanded family it was necessary to get a bigger table. But I just could not part with this old table that had served our family and all the kids for so long.

So I talked my daughter into taking it if I would refinish it and “fix” the chairs. I had been told that those chairs were beyond fixing, but the turnings of the legs were so lovely that I finally went against all others advice and with Mel’s help began to repair.

I am happy to announce that every chair was fixed. Though if you look close you can see that they are not perfect, I think they are strong enough to last another 20 years.

The top surface of the table was the surprise. I had always thought it was walnut. And after refinishing the base of the table and the legs, I began to consider refinishing the surface of the table. Well to my surprise as I began to strip off the layers of dark stain, I discovered that the top was actually mahogany—a beautiful mahogany veneer where both sides of the table were mirror image in pattern—something we could never see with all that dark stain on it. I figure whoever had this table had it refinished and they did not want to go to the trouble of stripping it. Well I am glad I did. It turned out a beautiful color, and now has another 20 years or so of use. My daughter was surprised to see how lovely it turned out. She was 3 when we bought this table.

Our summer passed with our little home repair projects as well as our ZZ Mission projects. Our garden gave us and abundance of fresh veggies. Now the season has changed giving us a beautiful autumn with blue skies, puffy clouds, brilliant colors and cooler temperatures—I love it.

With the coming of Halloween, I know that snow is right at our door step. We seldom have a Halloween where we don’t have just awful weather-either cold or rainy or snow. I feel sorry for those children who trick-or-treat, when it is so cold. They are usually so bundled up that you can hardly see their costumes.

Well that covers our summer. Recently we have been looking for property to build a new home—something with a bit more space and a place for visitors as well. So far, not much luck finding something in our price range. But I am sure we will be lead to just the perfect place.

I hope you are all well…

Love always,
Caryl

Entry for July 10, 2007
Entry for July 10, 2007 magnify

Hello Everyone:

My goodness it has been a long time since I have made an entry in this blog. I have been busy but that is not an excuse, is it?

So what to say that is of interest to those who might read this. We have been answering a lot questions about Twin Souls these last few weeks. If this is a subject of interest to you send us an email and we will give you some URLs.

And of course with the weather so hot we have been melting a lot!

Tomorrow our kitchen sub-flooring will be ripped out in preparation for new flowing—needless to say our house is a mess with things stacked all over. The dining table in the small parlor, as we are eating on TV trays in the family room. It has been fun, kind of like camping. I know that we will all love the new flooring and the process has made us fix things that needed to be fixed that have just been sliding past our attention.

Recently I read an article on a forum that got me thinking. It stated a quote from Marianne Williamson that I will replete here, “Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”

The reminder of this quote made my mind wonder in a different direction than the person writing the article had intended. But it is an important statement and very true. Most of us are afraid of our own power or don’t believe we have any.

A few years ago there was a very popular book entitled, “Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting,” by Lynn Grabhorn. I loved that book and kind of drove people around me nuts as I began to quote it like the Bible, buzzzzing around with my positive spin on everything around me. I am usually positive anyway, but looking back on it now I was probably pretty annoying.

Then came the movie “What the Bleep,” again telling us of our power to create, and how we become what we think we are … and so on.

The latest in the chain of what I will now term the “Call to Power” message is the Secret. I don’t know anyone who has not seem it at least once. The funny thing is, they seem to think this information is new, that the writers and producers found some hidden magic formula that has not been revealed before. I will admit that it is nicely packaged and it a format that will bring this message to more people. But is it new? I don’t think so.

Now my daughter who seemed irritated when I was practically shoving the book, “Excuse me Your Life is Waiting,” in her hands, is driving everyone around her nuts from her enthusiasm about “The Secret” and how it can change your life!

It can! If we will accept our Power and take action. My daughter is in marketing and is using this in her work, which I am very pleased to see.

As Marianne Williamson said, “Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”

In our recently published e-book, The Power of Love: The Seven Powers of the Goddess Principle we help take you though the steps that will prepare you for success when you begin to accept your Power.

Think about it. Are you just a little nervous to reach the point where exercising your Power might require responsibility? Are you ready to accept the changes in your life that you will create by creating a new reality? Are you unconsciously sabotaging your creative abilities?

It is something to consider.

We are powerful in many ways. We can change our lives and we can help change the lives of others as well. We as healers can use this power to heal ourselves, to heal each other, to heal our societies and to heal our Mother Earth.

I hear you say… “but there is so much negativity, war, terrorism, hunger, and intolerance.” Yes there is. But there is not one evil on this planet that cannot be overcome by the Healing Light of Love.

All it takes is a few caring people to exercise their Power and take action.

Anything is Possible through the Power of Love.

Be Love,
Caryl

Love and Gratitude
Love and Gratitude magnify

Sometimes even we, Melvyn Caryl, get “down in the dumps” over life’s day to day struggles. Actually it is usually not the big things that get in our way, but the little stuff. Like Richard Carlson’s book “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” points out, if we get stuck on the small stuff of life then the big stuff just gets bigger. So this is just a little reminder, a few words that might help another face their “small stuff” easier.

I think the easiest way is to put any event in perspective of the bigger picture. What does “it” matter in the greater scheme of things? How important is it really?

I have a friend that makes a practice of continual gratitude journaling. And where I do not subscribe to that daily need, I do see where the constant reminder of the “good stuff” helps us get past the nit-picky “small stuff” that tends to sap our positive energy flow and effect our conscious creation.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not one who subscribes to the idea that one must constantly walk around with an unrealistic vision of “what is” in their lives. Sometimes our charts give us a prod that is unpleasant. Sometimes events present themselves and they are down right unfair and require us to take a stand.

Zeb and Zarna do not teach the idea of pacifism. Unjust behavior is not to be met with indifference. That would neglect the Second Power of the Goddess Principle—Self Love.

So there is a point where the Power of Loving Another must be met with the equal Power of Self Love.

Sometimes shit happens! And sometimes it is crappy shit! On the other hand, how long are we going to wahler in it?

So, my solution is to have a quick pity party. Establish your ground then fix what can be fixed. If you can’t fix it, if the problem is beyond your ability to take any kind of action, then begin to think of your blessings—the “good stuff.” And very soon all the bad stuff will begin to take a lesser space in your mind and you will be able to move on.

Remember “thought” is the first step in creation. A mind filled with constant anger is unproductive. Think positive loving thoughts, focus on love and gratitude and the “problem” will begin to decrease in its negative effect.

A higher vibration energy flow will be the result and you will begin to create positive change. Sometimes these are subtle changes—so incremental that at first you do not realize that change is happening, but it will.

No one goes through life without road blocks. It is how we manage the detours that builds our spiritual muscles and eventually brings us to full spiritual maturity. So in fact, the small stuff and the big stuff are blessings in disguise.

I hope that all of you here in the northern hemisphere are enjoying the lovely spring. We certainly are. The patio is planted with flowers and they are giving us such beauty. The roses are just gorgeous and the vegetable garden is coming along nicely. Moments in the garden connect us with the earth, air, water and fire and we feel the strength and balance of them all. Life is good.

Love always,
