Can you believe it, a whole year in Hawaii and now back home in California with my NORCAl sisters. I loved the islands and all my new friends but work bringsme back to the Golden State. I feel so privledged to know all the island girls and will never forget them; I hope you don't forget me.

Well I spent my first Halloween in Hawaii and what a time. The streets were packed with witches, goblins and all manner of people and things. I went as a wicked witch....well not so wicked..and had a wonderful time. My friends John and Joe showed me the ropes of what to do in Waikiki and believe me it was quite an evening. We started out walking down the main "Drag" taking pictures and talking to anyone who wanted to strike up a conversation. We ended up at a night club called "Hula's" where John and Joe entered into the costume contest....and they won first place. They dressed as a Nerd and Prom Queen from the 1950s and it was so cute. Everyone loved them as they played the part so well. I will post pictures as soon as I get a few. As for me...I was just one of the crowd and can not wait to do it again. Well, I had a first last night.....and completely enjoyed myself. No..it was not sex, so get your minds out of the gutter, lolololol. Last week a couple of local girlfriends invited me to the grand opening of a new club where my friend Alexandria, is the stage MC. Anyway, they offer a local talent show where anyone can perform on stage, for the chance at winning a cash prize of $100.

Like I said, I went to last week's grand opening. The talent show seemed like so much fun and being an ole showgirl at heart, I decided to work up a "retro" routine for this week's show. I chose Dusty Springfield's, "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me" and guess what? I WON!!!!!!!!! I almost fell over when they announced my name, it was such a rush.

My heart was beating so fast and everyone was so kind with best wishes for my chance at the grand prize competition in 5 weeks. I told my girlfriends...to watch out, they created a monster by rejuvenated my old stage personality. The picture here and in my album are of me on stage and like I said.....it really brought back fond memories....Look out Oahu....RACHEL IS BACK!

Well I finally got all my photos into the Flickr format...thought I would never get there. I just grabbed a bunch of photos taken of me and my friends over the last 6 years and stuck them all together. Hope you enjoy looking at the changes over these last few years...I cannot believe I looked so bad way back then..lolololo. Oh well, we all grow and change.
