How do gay gangsters do a drive by? They drive a pink cadillac, throwing skittles out the window yelling, Yeah B*tches, taste the rainbow! Reply
The bla-bla-bla that's me.
IT'S ALMOST OVER!!! The semester is reaching its end. I have completed all the assigned projects for the semester and am awaiting only finals. I am so ready to get back to living. I am excited that I only have one more semester before I graduate. I am sooooo ready for this all to end and to actually start teaching in my own classroom.
Yeah for Obama! Boo for Prop 8! I was really hoping Californians would bring enlightenment to the rest of the country.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I hope all of my friends are doing well.
Blessed Be!

We're back :( Ken and I had alot of fun on our vacation. We drove from Memphis, TN, to Oklahoma City the first day. The girl at the front desk was so wonderful. After she was forced to work a double shift, she gave Ken and I her tickets to see Sheryl Crow perform at the amphitheater. It was awesome. We then drove on to Albuquerque. We toured Old Town (thanks Ben), and rode the world's longest tram to the top of a mountain where we ate at High Finance restuarant and watched the sunset across the valley behind some more mountains. We took a day to drive to Lincoln, NM to see the Billy the Kid muesems and to drive through Roswell. We spent another day touring muesems in ABQ. Our last night there we ate at a Brazilian Grill called Asado. The staff was wonderful and the food was incredible. If you go to ABQ, eat at Asado. It was the only resteraunt besides High Finance, which is a must as well, that had flavorful food. We tried various Mexican themed restuarants and all of them seemed to have abandonned flavor alltogether. Bland City. We spent a day driving down to Lincoln, NM, to tour the Billy the Kid muesems and to see Roswell. Along the way we took the kids for a walk through the Valley of Fire. One day was spent just relaxing and that afternoon we decided to vistit the Atomic Muesem which was quite interesting. We had a great time. On our way back we stopped in Groom, TX at the US's largest cross. Inspiring to say the least. We also stopped to snap some shots of some wind turnbines. At the Cherokee Trading Post west of OKC we stopped and ate buffalo burgers as we snapped pictures of buffalo. They were good. I hope you all enjoy the pictures.
God Bless.
YES! I passed all of my summer session courses. I was really worried about first session’s U.S. since 1945 and second session’s Mississippi history. Both required a lot more reading than I can do in a month. Thank the Lord they are over. And I passed.
Ken and I are planning a trip to Albuquerque, NM. Fourteen hours driving one way. If we get to do everything we have planned, it should be a lot of fun. I just hope we can figure everything out and make the trip. I’ve never been further west than Little Rock, AR, which is still the South, still the Bible-Belt. I’m prayin’ an’a hopin’.
Other than that, everything else is going good. Aug 18th makes 8 years for us. Ken just celebrated his birthday this month. I’m due to start fall semester and student teaching on the 22nd, the day after we return from vacation. Which is one reason our vacation is going to be so short. I need to make plans for working during this next semester. The courses require that I’m in school during the am hours. This means I have to find a way to switch my shift to nights. Someone else already works that shift and I don’t think she wants to change. Oh well. Truth be told, I’m the head of the dept. and get nearly all I want. We’ll see how it works out. I may end up going on the overnight shift. I could do more school work while at work, not have a huge number of customers to take care of, and I could probably get away with not doing some of the other work usually done on that shift. The problem lies in that when I got off work at 6am, I’d have to basically go straight to class. That could make me a little irritated while working in front of a group of 5th or 6th graders. Another pitfall with that shift is that it leaves les time for Ken and I to share. Granted….while I’m in school we have little time anyway but at least we get to sleep next to each other at night. If I switch to the overnight I’d sleep in the afternoon. OH !!!! Decisions.
It has been so freaking hot around here in the mid-South. 94+ with a heat index of over 100. And the humidity just makes it worse. I know heat is heat but, heat and humidity sucks.
That’s really everything for me here in MS. I could rant and rave about the stuff in the news but what’s the point. Maybe later. God Bless.
