In My life...I've loved you more....
I have mentioned somewhere or to someone I was helping out at church painting a dog house for an abused women's shelter. I finished it up Saturday morning, after we had Aiden dropped off ......Mom was in Lexington at a CPR class, and dad had some thing he needed to do..
Anyhow here's the pics of the "Mystery Machine" dog house...(those are plexi glass windows)
It's not the best, but I don't think it came out too bad!!!!
Well, I was at the Orthopedic Dr. for my follow up appointment today....the surgery is healing well, but I had some VERY SERIOUS damage ... All 3 "compartments" were damaged...(not good) cartilage in all three was either worn away or shredded (see pics)
This is suppose to be rounded V
Pulling back the torn and shredded parts to be clipped
He managed to clip and grind off the bad parts to make the areas smooth the way they are suppose to be....(not all lumpy like the pics). He said this could last anywhere from a few months to a few years, But in the end I will need a knee replacement. So it will be a matter of time...as a stop gap they can inject some kind of "spongy stuff" to help cushion the bones so they are not grinding against each other...
I am not limited to what I can do .NO high impact movements .walking included.....biking, swimming, and an elliptical would be good things....I love walking, walking is part of my job...walking in the yard.its how Mike and I lost a lot of the weight. This is going to be a hard one to take...I am pretty bummed out...
I am off work ANOTHER week to try to have it not be as tender in case a child bumps it...I go back in another 4 weeks for a check up on it......I am also limited to time spent standing, or sitting or walking a baby....sigh. I am wondering if it is even fair for them to keep me on ....I guess I will be making some "life decisions" soon.
Ok it's day 2 and after the visit to Lowes last night, Wal Mart this morning, Lowes again this morning then going to visit Aiden (Grand baby) in the hospital with croup am one hurting puppy........the knee is NOT swollen or bruised but it is SORE like someone was in there scraping on it.....probably cause they were.......the leakage (from where they injected the saline for better viewing ) has stopped.I have 2 tiny incisions( 1/2 inch maybe) with 2 tiny stitches in each. I have had it up and iced since coming home from the hospital and will probably do it the rest of the evening.'
Mike is spoiling me rotten again or still..he is the bestest!!!
That's all from here..Y'all take care and I'll drop by where I can. God Bless!!
Arthroscopic surgery next week he thinks I have a "floating body"(aka "Jimmy Hoffa") in my knee...as in a chunk of bone, cartilage, etc. He is also open to the possibility that I still may have a torn meniscus that did not show up on the MRI, and is going to grind down some arthritic growth that is starting to develope. I will be in bed for 2 days then off work until the at least a week, so I will be harassing all of you at least till the 24th. I am already going stir crazy!!!

I have been busy this morning and will probably be just as busy as soon as Mike and teenlet get up the ladder and get the rest of the peaches...
I went through them, washed and sliced them up, treated them with some "Fruit Fresh" to keep their color, sprinkled with dry sugar, bagged them up, then "sucked the air out of the bags with the Reynolds Handi Vac. Works on the same principle as the seal a meal just a LOT cheaper .I have used it for meats and 2 to 3 months later it looks like you just bought it.( We buy in bulk and on sale so it saves lots of $$$$$)

This is what they look like after being frozen 24 hours.
I know how good these will taste this winter.........if they last that long.....LOL
