I'm not talking about Saddam (which happens to be stars sponged onto tshirts fastened to the wall) I'm talking about Phil Hansen. He is an artist. A very unique and creative artist at that. His work is profound and most of the time politically based but all of his work has meaning behind it. I first saw philinthecircle (I left it that way, all ran together) on a you tube video. He had taken multiply pairs of blue jeans fastened them to the wall and creating the canvas for his painting, painted all of the jeans white and then proceeded to paint the canvas with his toes....yes, his toes. It was fascinating watching him turn this unusual form of canvas into an exceptional peice of art. He has used the most unconventional methods of extracting or utilizing things to create his art, down to his own blood. Alot of his art called "goodbye art" he gives away to his viewers. He has peices that when sold in any form ie; posters, postcards or the original art itself the proceeds go to fund certain causes. You just have to see it to understand it. The virgin Mary done in peanut butter and jelly. His interpertation of Klu Klux Klan done with copies from the bible. I, myself think his art is daring and exceptional and thought that I would share it with you. Please let me know what you think good, bad or otherwise.

I promise it's worth the trip. Most of his work has the time lapsed video of him in the process, so you can watch those as well!!
This amazing video shows the Thousand-Hand Dance which includes 21 hearing impaired Chinese performers at the 2005 CCTV Spring Festival. The precision and beauty of the dance is amazing forming remarkable arm and hand positions standing behind each other in a perfect column.
