We are happy to welcome you to the blog of the Consolers of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. You will know of our life and work, projects and activities through it and through pictures and video clips.
Our mission outreach that started since May 1992 focused on the aborigines (indigenous peoples). We were then still part of the Our Lady of the Philippines Abbey (OLP) a.k.a. the Trappist Monastery of Guimaras.
Many peoples of various faiths and nationalities have been touched by our work with the aetas and the poor of Guimaras. Through them God provided for all our needs, at His own time.
We have been witnesses to many marvelous and inexplicable experiences through the power of prayers. God truly works in wondrous ways. To us without fail, God cares and always provides.
Be part of a unique experience. Visit us in our monastery in Jordan, Guimaras. Feel the joy and peace in God's presence, in silence and solitude.

Short History: The Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy of Guimaras was established as an outreach mission in May 1992 as an outreach program of the Our Lady of the Philippines Abbey a.k.a. The Trappist Monastery.
Vision: A Christ-centered community inspired and guided by the teachings and examples of our Lord Jesus Christ, committed to the total human christian development witnessing and working for justice, peace, unity and love; to the spiritual and social transformation especially to the poorest of the poor.
Mission: To develop and nurture the students to be of service to the country and its people and to the church in the atmosphere of learning through an integrated christian education (physical, spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and cultural) aimed at living out gospel values and strengthening of faith centered in Christ, coupled with discipline and sense of service for the poor, particularly to the marginalized and the indigenous people.

Here we are like water lilies in the ponds of life that bring freshness and beauty to the surroundings. Lilies flower in the spring of life. They thrive on water and bring beauty, life and solace to the weary soul.
We want to be lilies amidst the realities of life where poverty and need are everywhere. As Consolers of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we try to bring consolation to our suffering brothers and sisters who because of extreme poverty experience rejection and sufferings.
We welcome one and all to our community and invite all to be like lilies to others by becoming partners to our mission.
