There's something magical about the arrival of the season's first snow, especially in Tennessee, where we don't get routine dustings. My cats love to play in snow, just like kids, and it's a joyful time around here.

I subscribe to a great music service called Slacker. You can listen to stations with every genre of music imaginable, plus special "themed" stations like Christmas music, etc. This is pretty much like Yahoo Music, which I also love, except Slacker takes the fine-tuning to a whole new level. You can create your own stations, as many as you want, and customize them with whichever artists, genres, and/or songs you want. You can also choose to be introduced to new music that is similar in style to what's already playing on your stations, and you can choose what percentage of new stuff you get. I love finding a new gem, and recently heard a sweet rock/pop song by Ray LaMontagne. Lyrics are below; check out the tune online!

Mornings in the holler are special to me. You never know what you'll see, but usually there is at least one critter involved. Today there were no deer, but Little Bit was out enjoying the new day with me.
