This Just In! New Contract! magnify

So I just got my butt kicked by a dear friend (oh yeah, you know who you are ) about how I haven't blogged. So here I am, blogging.

My World:

I am slowly catching up on things that were neglected over the summer of craziness. I also received a contract today for a new romantic comedy called Romance By Mistake. It is with Forbidden Publications and will be released later this fall.

So since this is pretty fun and exciting news I thought I would share the book trailer with you.

I know I am a couple days late getting to this, but it has been a hectic and crazy summer. Needless to say the happy news is the kids are back in school. Yeah, I'm going to miss them during the day....okay, not really , let's face it; they are learning something and unable to call my name every ten minutes. I see nothing but good....and I hear silence.

So The Bride Wore Boots was released on the 1st of this month and Is doing really well. I'm working on having a contest for autographed print copies and will hopefully post something by Saturday...afternoon, so stay tuned.

In the mean time, here is blurb and link to purchase this latest release.

Blurb

Madison Bellini has it all figured out: Run.

Run away from her high society family, her money-grubbing fiancé who has sex with anyone but her, and--land herself a cowboy, for good measure.

When her car skids on a patch of mud, and she ends up in the river, she finds herself with the sexiest cowboy she could have imagined.

Ty Kirkland has had enough of women. And money trouble. When he finds a woman blowing bubbles in the river and realizes she's an oil heiress with no memory, he decides she might be the answer to both problems at once. Introducing her to family and friends as his fiancée, he thinks he's got it made.

Only he wasn't counting on his family adoring her, his libido going into overdrive, or that her amnesia might be fake.

The worst surprise of all is that he wants to turn their engagement into a real one.

The Bride Wore Boots - Trailer
So here I am finally getting over here. I know, I'm a blog slacker, but I have been busy. In my quest to stay busy I attepted my first book trailer. A friend of mine thought it was neat and asked how I made it. I was honest and told her, "with cussing". Actually, it wasn't that bad and when you get the ahng of it its sort of fun. I tried out the site One True Media and let me tell you, once I get the hang of this it will be a fun place to create...however I guess that means I should write, so I have something to create for.

Have a great day everyone and let me know what you think of the trailer.

Blurb:

Alpha is the hottest men’s magazine around. At least in Aiden Jacob’s opinion and by rights it should be, werewolves own it. Aiden has found the picture perfect girl and mate. Her allergy to dogs is a slight issue, but surely with a few antihistamines she can be putty in his paws, right?

Cricket Summers is Alpha’s new cover model and has a promotionDespite the glitches. One, her boss is sexier than hell and wants to bed her faster than a girl can say “Big Bad Wolf.” Two, hurt in the past, Cricket is afraid to trust her heart to love again. Aiden makes her want to give into both—right after she stops sneezing.

Excerpt:

“Hello,” he finally greeted.

“Hello, I’m Cricket Summers.” With a soft sway she stepped closer to him.

Unsure, if it was the movement of her hips or the sultry softness of her voice, but the lady had his complete attention. He took the hand she extended and her dark eyes sparkled.

“Aiden Jacobs.” His skin flamed on contact against the satiny silk of hers. He swallowed back a groan. He wanted her. There was something electric to the simplest touch.

Her breath caught, indicating she had felt it too. She released her hand from his as the left hand rose to her face and covered it with tissue. A sneeze left her; at least that’s what he was guessed that pathetic whimper sound was.

He frowned slightly. “Are you sick?”

Cricket smiled sweetly and his libido kicked up a notch. “I think it’s my allergies.”

Aiden nodded and again with a swoop of his eyes assessed her.

She would look amazing on the cover of the magazine, sinfully beautiful as those full lips parted in climax naked on my bed and striking next to me as my mate for life.

Aiden pushed his thoughts aside and focused on her allergy comment. His head tilted and he glanced around the room before resting his attention back on her. “Allergies?”

“I think so.” Blinking, she broadened her smile. “Odd. The only thing I’m allergic to is dogs. That’s why I didn’t become a vet.”

Oh hell, we have a problemA very big problem.

Blurb:

C – Is for crazy, which CJ Parker is sure she is for agreeing to go back to Canada.

A – Is for anxiety. She has plenty of it between flying, an ailing grandfather, not to mention friends and a guy she’s trying to forget.

N – Is for never getting married, no matter how hunky the guy she’s trying to forget is, or what thoughts are going through his head.

A – Is for accident, which covers everything from the pregnant bride, the MIA groom, and kissing the wrong man—again.

D – Is for Dalton Scott. Who the hell does he think he is? And why is he making her think of sex and wedding—not the one she is planning, but her own. Serves her right for kissing him.

A – Is for away. After the wedding from hell, facing the lies of her family, and admitting that she is never getting over Dalton, she is going away. Well, that’s the plan anyway…

Dalton is sure that his twin brother’s wedding is going to be a Canada Day to remember. Providing the groom shows up and Dalton convinces the pretty CJ to give up planning weddings long enough to have one with him.

Excerpt:

“Wow, you must be a hell of a wedding planner since they want a Canada Day Wedding.”

She shook her head and giggled. “No, that’s crazy. That would give me less than a week to plan it.”

Oh hell. She has no clue. “Actually, sweetheart, the date has been set. That’s the only real thing decided. I know Mary Kate insists it has to be then. She even has the colors, and a whole vision of what she wants.”

CJ’s full lips parted, then closed and pursed together. His gaze dipped and he had never been more tempted to kiss anyone in his life than he was right at that moment. “Oh dear.” Her slender throat moved as she swallowed. “I’m sure that once Mary Kate understands all the work that goes into this, she will see—“

Just break the news to her. “She doesn’t want to run close to her due date. The date is firm; trust me that woman is stubborn. She isn’t changing her mind.”

Her eyes closed, then opened. “Due date?” Her head tilted to the side and her tongue slid across her lower lip.

“She is pregnant and doesn’t want to have the stress of the wedding too close to her delivery time.” He shifted on his legs and thought of the chats he’d had with the bride-to-be. He, of all people, knew she wasn’t changing her mind.

“Wow, Mary-Kate is pregnant.” Blatant surprise registered on her face, then an unreadable look that resembled sadness, followed by a shake of her head. “Wow, no one told me. I suppose that would make a bit of a difference.”

By the look on her face, Dalton knew she was digesting everything. He couldn’t believe it was him dropping all this on her. However, it was better than the other things he could tell her. He might as well not send her running back to L.A. just yet. However, the way his body was reacting to her, maybe it would be better if she did leave.

“Forgive me, Dalton. It’s been a long day. I guess double congratulations are in order.”

What is running through her head?

“Thanks.” He took off his Stetson and ran a hand through his hair. “Can I ask why you are congratulating me?”

She smiled, though it seemed strained. “I mean, with the wedding and the baby on its way, that’s pretty great.”

“I guess, yeah.” I haven’t thought it would be great in a long time. He couldn’t identify the emotion in her eyes, but this time it wasn’t fleeting; the look stayed.

“I’ll make sure that your wedding is something to remember.”

Oh my God! No one told her. “My wedding?”

“Yeah.”

He would love her to think he was getting married, but—he glanced at her hand. No ring, no tan line. The question is, does she have a man back home? No, Harris and Ruth would’ve known and she wouldn’t be here now.

“Dalton, what’s wrong?”

He started to laugh, unable to get over the worry in her voice. He could only imagine what the look on his face had been. He stepped closer. The faint trace of her perfume touched his nostrils. “CJ, I’m not getting married or having a baby.”

“I’m confused, I thought you said Mary Kate—“

“Derek is marrying Mary Kate.”

A long exhale left her, then she looked away to the field for a couple moments before she looked back at him. Her eyes sparkled and dipped to his hand, far from discreetly. She looked up at him. “So, you aren’t engaged.”

“I’m not even seeing anyone.”
