A CELEBRATION OF JOJO’S LIFE
Dr.P.P.Job is world-renowned Missionary from India. He is a friend of mine for the last so many years. He is associated with Tortured for Christ. Tortured for Christ was established by late Rev.Wurmbrand. Rev. Wurmbrand was persecuted for many years by Nazi regime during the 2nd World War. After his release from jail, he established Tortured for Christ to help people who are still undergoing similar agonies all over the world. Dr.P.P.Job and his wife Dr.Mary Job were blessed with two sons. While Michael Job, the younger son, was in the 3rd year of MBBS died in a tragic accident in 1999. As a medical student Michael was very active in missionary activities. He wanted to be a missionary after his medical studies. Many institutions are being run in memory of late Michael Job in Coimbatore, India. His elder son Jojo was actively involved in missionary work in Muslim dominated countries. Now Jojo who was in Dubai met with an accident on 17th January 2007. As a soldier of Jesus Christ Jojo has fought the good fight, as an athlete he has finished the race, as a farmer he faithfully laboured in his field – and now is enjoying the fruits of his labours in Heaven with his Saviour. 2 Timothy2:1-6 & 4:7. All glory be to God.
Jojo will be laid to rest at the Prithviraj Cemetery, New Delhi today (25.1.2007) at 3.00 PM (IST). Most Rev.Joseph Mar Ireneos will lead along with other Bishops, priests and friends.
I had been attending prayer meetings in his residence for the last few days. Dr.P.P.Job and his family need your prayers. He can be contacted in the following address:

FIRST CHRISTMAS
About this time Caesar Augustus, the Roman Emperor, decreed that a census should be taken throughout the nation.(This census was taken when Quirinius was governor of Syria.) Everyone was required to return to his ancestral home for this registration. And because Joseph was a member of the royal line, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, King David’s ancient home-journeying there from the Galilean village of Nazreth. He took with him Mary, his fiancée, who was obviously pregnant by this time. And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born; and she gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the village inn. That night some shepherds were in the fields outside the village, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly an angel appeared among them, and the landscape shone bright with the glory of the Lord. They were badly frightened, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid !” he said. I bring you the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone! The Savior - yes the Messiah, the Lord - has been born tonight in Bethlehem! How will you recognize him? You will find a baby wrapped in a blanket, lying in a manger!” Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others-the armies of heaven-praising God: “Glory to God in the highest heaven”” and peace on earth for all those pleasing him.
When I started blogging I was n't sure how to start or where to start. Still I am unclear about many things and wonder how Syxtus sends his smile and Sabiha creates her photos. I was frantically searching for a friend and I started with very common Mallu (Malayali) names. Under the common name "Verghese" I started searching and lo! dear Eldho Verghese readily accepted my invitation. At that time the smile on my face was like someone who just became a father for the first time. Now my friendship circle has just hit a century. What if Sister Sabiha didn't visit or telephone me while she was in Delhi, I am a little bit elated to tell you that my first friend telephoned me two days back and now he is in Delhi. In a shortwhile we will be meeting and celebrate it in our own way. It gives me great pleasure to tell you that many of my friends share their problems with me and request for my prayers. This shows how they all love me and trust me. And this is the most gratifying aspect of my friendship and I treasure it. God bless you all.
I THANK GOD, FOR THE DAY.
For the beauty of the morning
As I look across the field;
As the promises of the hour
As my thoughts to Him yield.
For the work that lies before me,
And the things that need to be done –
For the refreshing rest of the night time,
And the rising of the sun.
For the good I see in others,
And the kindness that they show
For the day that lies before me
And the blessings that I know.
For a spirit that is lifted,
And a heart repent to pray
For the joy I have this morning,
Is the song I sing all day,
All the troubles that surround me
Have no fear to take command.
For I have faith in Jesus,
Only He can understand.

PRANAYAMA
PURAKA, RECHAKA & KUMBHAKA
Puraka means to inhale
Rechaka means to exhale
Kumbhaka means to retain breath
(To be practiced with the help of a guru/Teacher)
The normal rate of breathing is fifteen times a minute and 21,600 times in every 24 hours. However, the number varies according to one’s way of life, health and emotional state. Since pranayama lengthens the time taken by each inhalation and exhalation thereby slowing down the process of ageing, its practice leads to longer life. In old age, the respiratory function decreases due to contraction of the cells of the lungs which take in less oxygen. Pranayama will help to normalize their size and make the red corpuscles circulate in all parts of the body, infusing life and vigour throughout. By its practice even old people can delay the ageing process. Puraka is the voluntary prolongation phase. (to be continued…..)
