The Gift
The Gift magnify

Winter snow is falling down
Children laughing all around
Lights are turning on
Like a fairy tale come true

Sitting by the fire we made
You're the answer when I prayed
I would find someone
And baby I found you

All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart from being broken apart
You gave your love away and I'm thankful every day, for the gift

Watching as you softly sleep
What I'd give if I could keep
Just this moment
If only time stood still

But the colors fade away
And the years will make us grey
But baby in my eyes
You'll still be beautiful

All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart from being broken apart
You gave your love away and I'm thankful every day, for the gift

(Instrumental)

All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart from being broken apart
You gave your love away

I can't find the words to say
That I'm thankful every day
For the gift

This is how every Girl/Lady should be treated!

I'm reposting this from my friend Luna's page because it says a lot about what love really is.  :)

To every guy that's said, "Sex CAN wait"
To every guy that's said, "You're beautiful."
To every guy that was never too busy, to drive or walk across town to see her.
To every guy that gives her flowers and a card when she is sick or down.
To every guy who has given her flowers, just because or because he loves her.
To every guy that said he would die for her.
To every guy that really did.
To every guy that does, what she wants to do.
To every guy that cries in front of her. ....
To every guy that seen her cry in his arms...
To every guy that holds hands with her.
To every guy that kisses her, with passion and love.
To every guy that hugs her when she's sad.
To every guy that hugs her, for no reason at all.
To every guy who would give their jacket up for her.
To every guy that calls, to make sure she got home safely.
To every guy that would sit and wait for her for hours, just to see her for ten minutes...

To every guy that gives his seat up...
To every guy that just wants to cuddle (esp. after sex).
To every guy that reassures her that she was beautiful, no matter what.
To every guy who has told his secrets to her.
To every guy that tries to show how much he cares, through every word and every breath.
To every guy that thinks, this could be the one.
To every guy that believes in her dreams.
To every guy that would do anything, so she could achieve them.
To every guy that never laughs at her, when she told him her dreams.
To every guy that walks her to her car and opens the door.
To every guy that gives his heart.
To every guy who prays that she is happy, even if you are not with her.

Not many girls appreciate nice guys anymore.  And because of this, there are not many left out there...

I guarantee 90% of the men on your page will not re-post this because they care more about their image...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(((If you are a Nice Guy re-post this with: "This is how every Girl/Lady should be treated.")))
((If you are a Girl/Lady that thinks every Guy should treat a Girl/Lady this way re-post this with: "To Every Guy, this is how to treat a Lady "...))
Legend of the Thornbird
Legend of the Thornbird magnify
There is a legend about a bird which sings just once in its life,
more sweetly than any other creature
on the face of the earth.
From the moment it leaves the nest
it searches for a thorn tree,
and does not rest until it has found one.
Then, singing among the savage branches,
it impales itself
upon the longest, sharpest spine.
And, dying, it rises above its own agony
to out carol the lark and the nightingale.
One superlative song, existence the price.
But the whole world stills to listen,
and the gods in their heaven smile.
For the best is only bought at the cost of great pain...
Or so says the legend..
A Quiet Walk
A Quiet Walk magnify
She walks with a sense of patience
As her heart dwells in a spiritual peace
That carries away any burden,
Replacing them with accepting smiles.
And though the weight at times makes her tired,
She moves on with complete faith in the Lord.
With complete faith in the Lord
She quietly walks on, with the patience
Her Lord has given. Though tired,
And sometimes weakened, His peace
Holds her up and even brings a whimsical smile
While walking her path, carrying her burden.
For she’s not alone, walking this path, bearing this burden…
Grace is given by her loving Lord…
Seen upon her weary face is a smile…
A smile denoting understanding and patience,
Held in place by His gift of peace
While the world demands she be tired.
By His spirit, to His glory, feeling tired
Will not be displayed, and lightened will be the burden,
For within His light is only peace,
A gift from our Lord
Offered for our faith and continuing patience
In the gift resting behind His loving smile.
Ask, you may, how, while in distress, can one smile?
Wonder at the strength to hold on when the body is tired…
This is the wonder of the reward of faithful patience,
This is the prize of knowing there is no burden
Lain upon us that will not be carried by our Lord,
And no pain that can overwhelm His gracious peace.
Each step taken with Him holds the ease of peace
Of the soul and the heart, leaving within a grateful smile
For the loving gift of God, our Lord…
The means to rise above times when tired;
The heart to reach around and through any burden,
In the loving grace given by her Father in eternal patience…
Thank you Lord for the patience, for our ability to smile.
We praise you Lord for the gift of peace, relieving us from being tired…
For You are our carrier of burdens, You are our hope, our Lord.
I rescued a human today.
I rescued a human today. magnify
Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering
apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew
I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she
wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view
from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want
her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter
keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.
As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about
my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make
a difference in someone's life. She got down on her knees and made
little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head
up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my
neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her
cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.
Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I
instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I
would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do
everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her
eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many
more are out there who haven't walked the corridors.
So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.
I rescued a human today
