If ya tune in here regular you will see my life unfold and the importance of my friends in my life!
Well, It has to have been a year since i left here to go to Multiply, I have made a few new friends over there, But miss the people who didn't follow me there!
I was under the understanding that yahoo 360 was meant to be closing down or replaced and at the time the alternative offering seemed to be yahoo Mash, Well I joined mash and was totally unconvinced that it was an improvement.... So i joined Multiply which was almost everything that yahoo had been And more because they listened to their members, A lot of people found it difficult to personalize their pages as it meant they had to learn a few basics of CSS coding to fine tune their pages.... Thats all very well for experienced users but put some code in front of an average user and watch them run!
Well Life hasn't been so grand since i left here! the company i work for has shed over 300 jobs now, and trade is still not enough to keep the rest of the staff busy! however I was registered with an auction site who were about to sell off all the old unwanted assets of the company and suddenly three days before the auction was due to be held someone has bought all the assets of the company and the auction cancelled! I hope that this means someone is going to invest some money into the company and get it trading profitably, I know who i would like to see running the company.... So please let it be him! (sorry can't say too much here at the moment!)
I know my job was on the line and maybe still is, I dont know whether the sale of the assets includes the sale of our Lodge business or whether the business will now be split into two with different owners! If it doesn't remain as is then my job will be affected, maybe less hours who knows!
How have all you guys been and have you been hit badly by the credit crunch?
Were you as happy as i was about Obama being elected?
Tell me what's going on in your lives right now!
Hugs to all
Markie
It's been two months since i was last moved to blog anywhere, oh except yesterday over at Multiply! I have been spending a lot of my spare time in A software forum, trying to help a few people and learn a few things myself!
It's been good and it's been a learning curve, Its suprising how much you can pick up from reading about other peoples computer problems and reading how their problem was sorted out, Sometimes if you have no idea of the answer to your problem the best thing you can do is google it! or even Yahoo answers has pointed me in the right direction a few times.
I feel sure someone could make money just by publishing a list of the most asked questions on answers. Okay that was my idea so lay off!
Well I am here albeit briefly!
At the moment I have no real time to blog but whenever I do i will blog here and copy it to Multiply or Vice-versa.
Its just I have a lot to do around the home and Garden, as well as Work, Just leaving me with little or no spare time!
I've been so busy I haven't even had time to pop round and see friends etc and I do miss them a lot!
I'll probably pop by and check out a few blogs when i get time
Hugs til then

Yesterday was a wonderful day!
My Soccer Team (Or should I say the one I support) Won promotion to the Premiership yesterday! So the Age old saying ("You can always rely on Hull City to let you down") Is now forgotten!
I cried with joy, Even though we had two promotions in two years, and last year we just avoided relegation! Never had i felt so proud and happy (OUCH, I have been forced to point out that I was once more proud and happy the day i got married!)
Promotion means the club will receive Upwards of £60,000,000 ($120,000,000) over the next three years, and more still if we can just manage to stay up there! Staying there will be tough as we now will play the super clubs like Manchester united, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, That's 4 clubs I don't expect to beat at all next season (Though I hope we do)
Hull City are known as the Tigers and in their 104 year history they have never played in the top league in the country, Personally I started supporting them when I first moved to Hull ermmmmm 21 years ago (Now I feel old). In those years I have seen some terrible football, But I've had some good times and always a good laugh even if it was at the expense of supporting such a Lowly team when all my mates supported the higher league clubs!
Now i can laugh at some of them, Because while I was watching Hull City they all supported clubs like Leeds United, Whi in them days were right up the top, But now are two leagues below us, and have just lost their promotion playoff match! I won't laugh though because for them to even reach the play offs was amazing as they started the season with minus 15 points because of some financial irregularity!
The truth is I have to accept we may only be up there for a year! And not to be too excited and complacent, But I never expected us to do this well so soon!
I have 50 minutes before i head off for home. And i am not back at work for another 48 hours! Yep, that's right i worked Monday Night and the rest of the week is day shifts, I prefer just working one or the other but times are hard where i work as is the whole leisure industry at the moment, All the companies based around here are struggling and some are being asked to accept a cut in wages! Well I lost out because there is no more overtime and i was working 5 or 6 shifts a week and mine are always 12 hour shifts! yes it hurts financially But I get more leisure time or should i say time to pursue more profitable or pleasurable endeavours!
Take today for instance. I know a lot of people couldn't say this but then they don't have my mother in law! But I am going round to do some weeding in her garden! It needs it desperately, (not that my own doesn't but i only have one pair of hands) But lately my mother in law has changed a lot, She has a nice side that for many years i just didn't see, I guess it was always there, But we were both very stubborn and argued a lot, Now that's kind of restricted to us both spitting out our dummies and laughing about it 5 minutes later!
My mother in law can on occasion really get me on edge! I can be doing a job for her and every two minutes it's "watch this" and "Watch that" and "Don't drop it" or "don't stand on my foot" Not a moment's peace! I don't mind doing the jobs, I love her to pieces, But I can't wait to get home to chill out afterwards! Oh and to get a DECENT cup of coffee, rather than the cheap stuff she gets! (it's not that she can't afford the decent stuff it's that she likes weak coffee and believe me its Ewwwwwww! Why she doesn't use a nice coffee but put less in for herself i will never know!
If we have two nice days then tomorrow i might start to clear my back garden and make way for a new fence across the bottom, I need to replace all my fence around the garden but its time and money versus the weather! also Wednesday night i want to see if I can get tickets for the football (soccer) match We (Hull City) are already two goals up against Watford, If we maintain the lead then we will be playing at Wembley for the first time in the clubs 104 year history, And then if we win at Wembley we are in the Premiership next season against teams like Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United! Ok i don't fancy our chances of winning against the big teams but then who knows! all i want to see is us playing premier league soccer next season and stay up there and slowly build a team that can challenge for a top four position But then i guess I'll wake up!
Well catch you guys much much later
Take care all
Peace and luvs
