went to Friend's Landing last weekend for the Roxi Rush memorial. I didn't know Roxi. Never had the pleasure of her acquaintance, sad to say. But many of the gurls up there had nothing but nice things to say about her, and I was happy to help to increase the turnout for those who knew her. I went with my friends Paula, Sharon, and some new friends, Lindsay and Michelle. There was a HUGE turnout of gurls that night, and those grieving for Roxi were cheered by the size of the crowd. It was wonderful to be with my sisters, despite having made a REALLY bad choice in footwear (my feet started screaming about half an hour after walking into the club, by the end of the night I could barely walk ) Still, it was all worth it, the feeling of community, the feeling of just being there for those friends who knew Roxi, and of course being out in public after a long spell of staying home. Sleep well, sister, tho we never met, you are fondly remembered and missed by many on this side...

Thinking of going to Friends Landing this weekend with Paula, a little drinking, dancing, a little....well, you know....Havent been up there in AGES, there seems to be some friction betweeen the gurls and the management, something about the bathroom etiquitte, making us go to the mens room because our "plumbing" doesnt comply...Its not a big deal to me, there have been times in my life when a bathroom is a bathroom is a bathroom....Last time, we were asked to use the mens room, I used it, and kind of enjoyed the looks I got....
