Food For Thought:
Viking vs Bear History:
On opening game September 17 1961, the Vikings gave their followers a little taste of what the next 47 years would be like. After a slow start rookie quarterback Fran Tarkenton jumped off the bench and began working his magic. Tarkenton threw four touchdown passes and ran for another as he led the Vikes to a 37-13 victory over the Chicago Bears. That was Awesome!
The Vikings won the NFL championship in 1969 and NFC titles in 1973, ‘74 and ‘76. From Ahmad Rashad to Cris Carter, from Jim Marshall to Randall McDaniel and from Matt Blair to John Randle, the Vikings have been among the most exciting teams ever to strap on the pads. That was Impressive!
The Vikings have been in position to win the last two weeks thanks in part to veteran quarterback Gus Frerotte, who took over for Tavaris Jackson after Minnesota opened 0-2. Frerotte went 18-of-33 for 296 yards against Detroit, including an 86-yard TD to former Bear Bernard Berrian. Berrian has been Frerotte's favorite target, catching five passes for 131 yards last week and six for 110 in the previous game. Berrian, who played for Bears from 2004-07, leads the Vikings with 436 receiving yards.

CHICAGO (AP) The last time the Chicago Bears scored this many points, Walter Payton was taking handoffs and Mike Ditka was prowling the sideline.
Our Special Thanks to Lovie Smith and company & #86 Booker when he caught a 51-yard touchdown pass that made it 41-31 with 2:35 left in the third. Kevin Payne's 50-yard interception return to the Vikings 6 led to a 1-yard TD run by Forte that made it 48-31 to start the fourth. That is Just Damn Good Football
Congratulations on a Hell of a game Bears....Vikings

Words women use FINE This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. FIVE MINUTES If she is getting dressed; this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. NOTHING This is the calm before the storm. This means "something," and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with 'Nothing' usually end in "Fine." GO AHEAD This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it. LOUD SIGH This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing." THAT'S OKAY This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. THANKS A woman is thanking you. Do not question it or faint. Just say you're welcome Now where is the lobster tail I ordered with that steak?? P | ![]() | ||
