Personality, a magnetic and mysterious trait that's easy to recognise but difficult to define, is released from within
A good friend fell out with me
a couple of years ago.
The pal also tried to trouble me
and defame me.
I managed to remain unscathed
and strengthened myself,
but kept him at bay.
The friend is trying to get closer again
in his interests.
I am not sure of the pal's sincerity or
intentions now. Whether it would help
me or not, I'm not sure
Should I renew the friendship or forget it.
What do you suggest please ?
It is easy enough to be pleasant,
when life flows along like a song
But the man worthwhile
is the one who will smile,
When everything goes dead wrong.
A child's smile is pure and divine.
A youth's smile is cheerful.
A man's smile is warm and handsome.
A woman's smile is caring and soothing.
A mother's smile is affectionate.
A father's smile is assuring.
A friend's smile is pleasing.
A sickman's smile is helpless.
A stranger's smile is welcome.
Smile rekindles our spirits
in troubled times.
A smile helps us forget
times of sorrow.
Smile before you act
and your tempers cool down.
A smile is a free gift that we can
give to countless persons and
cheer up their moments.
Say hello with a smile.
Men/women with self-confidence,
like an inward gyroscope, accept and
trust others. Caring for something
or someone awakens strange and
thrilling powers.
The more we care about others,
the more confidently we act.
There's nothing we cannot do,
no defeat we cannot survive,
no fear we cannot overcome,
when we concentrate heart
and soul in helping others.
As long as we look at others
with suspicion and distrust,
true self-confidence will elude us.
For then, the world is a jungle
inhabited by two kinds of people;
those whom we can dominate and
those who seek to dominate us.
Our way of life is not self-confidence,
it is self-protection.
But have faith in others, feel warmly
towards them as fellow human beings,
be interested in them, seek to learn
from them, care for them.
And what a different world it is !
Unless we share our personality
with others, it is like a portrait
kept in a locked room.
Every thing we do, say, think or
feel involves interaction with others.
In this material world, we need
someone to tell our troubles to,
someone to whom to confess our
shortcomings, someone with whom
to share our failures and triumphs,
someone with whom we can
`Be Ourselves' ! Together, we can
make a great difference.
Should emotion be expressed or repressed ?
Should sorrow be verbalized or concealed ?
Should Children be exposed to grief or be completely insulated ?
Guide me please.....
Many of the worst tragedies that
afflict individuals come from inability
to stand life's strain. Stability is partly
temperamental.
In a desperate, chaotic time, can we
have an amazing stability. The problem
touches the lives of all of us,
particularly in our handicaps.
People who stand things handsomely
wield a penetrating spiritual influence
upon all those who knew them.
I wonder if this ability to tackle
life with courage and steadfastness
is going to be distinctive.
What we need is the stimulus and
challenge of antagonistic environment
to awaken the courageous resistance
and endurance of one's slumbering soul.
When faith is lacking, insecurity of life
is terribly increased. Disbelief comes
with the profound addition of spiritual
insecurity. What do you say !
