Carpe diem!! Seize the day!!
The mood to blog has hit me once again. It is sporadic and inconsistent. I have been in a funk for awhile now. I have been trying to maintain a positive up beat attitude but has been hard lately.
I went to church today and met my daughter as usual. Of course they had to sing Amazing Grace which my son's foot ball team mates the Hoemberg Brothers sang at my son's funeral so I was sitting in church with tears coming down my face having flashbacks to my son's funeral. Then it hit me. It is September and next Sunday would have been my 29th wedding anniversary and 911 last year my divorce papers were signed by the judge and filed that day.
So I guess that I just need to give myself time to deal with that and heal and move on. Just writing is cathartic. The picture is of my son just goofing around one day. I just happend into his room and got the shot with my camera.
Well today is the anniversary of the attack on us 6 years ago. I was in my car on the way to a physical therapy appointment. I was hearing things on the radio and when I walked intto the PT department in the hospital it was all over the tv.
I had lost my son in the accident in the summer of 2000. I was so tied up in knots in my neck and shoulders I was going to the PT for ultrasound in those muscles and massage. My emmotional reaction to the towers was so strong because I was still dealing with my son's death. I just remember crying and looking at the tv thinking of those families who lost their children in such a senseless hateful act against my country.
This day is also significant for me as last year on this day my divorce papers were signed and filed. So I thought hmmmmmmmm what does that say about my 27 year marriage? Food for thought.
Mr Bush had only taken office in January and had already stepped into a big mess as Slick Willie Clinton had terribly abused his power of executive order and Mr Bush had to undo that mess. Then came the whole Iraq thing. President Bush was damned if he did and dmaned if he didn't. If he had done nothing about Iraq and we were attacked again people would have had their undies in a bundle and they had their undies in a bundle anyway about the war. A famous quote from Will Rogers is "Every four years we elect someone to blame for the next four years."
I don't even want to think about this election year. The last one that idiot John Kerry was running for president. Mr wishy washy himself. I have no problem with a woman president but I do not want Hillary Clinton to be our first woman president. I am really dreading this election year after the last on. The day before the election Senator Kerry was talking to sportsman trying to get their vote. He had a double barrel shotgun and was telling them that he crawled on his belly and hunted the deer. Hello the man didn't know a deer rifle from a double barrel shotgun and no one crawls on their belly to hunt deer. He voted anti-gun and anti-hunting and he was out there talking to the sportsmen like an idiot. So it scares me what kind of chimps they are going to try to run for president this year.

Hi Everybody, I hope all is well with you all. I have foreign exchange students. Two girls. One is from China and one is from Vietnam. This is the first time I host as a single parent. So far so good.
I don't know what is going to happen when we are all 3 hormonal at the same time but it could get interesting. My bedroom has it's own bathroom so that is a good thing. The other good thing is that these girls don't use hairspray. When my daughter was a teenager she used so dogone much hairspray that when you walked in the downstairs bathroom floor you stuck to it. I always thought to myself "Now I know how mice in those sticky traps feel!!"![]()
I have a job application in at the hospital here and in a nearby town at the Developmental Achievement Center working with mentally challenged and mentally ill people. I should know next week if I get the one at the DAC. It sounds interesting. The job at the hospital is in patient billing and it has to do with coding and billing patients. It sounds a bit boring but it is very close to home. The other job sounds like a variety of activities and driving the DAC vehicles getting clients to and from jobs etc. It does not sound boring but it is a little farther from home. I don't know but I had to postpone my last year of school to work full time to replenish the coffers. I figure I can take some of my classes on line as I was traveling an hour both ways to classes as that was the only tech school that offered my program so I was spending a lot of money on gas. I also had to put a new tranny in my car and a few other things like that came up so the money that was supposed to last me through school is not. I am hanging in there. I know things will all work out as the God always provides opportunities.
Hey Everybody, It has been awhile. It is not that I have nothing to say it is just to find the time and inspiration to do so. I hope everyone in blogland is doing well. I have 2 foriegn exchange students here with me. One is from China and one is from Vietnam. I have hosted before but this is the first time as a single parent. They call me Mom and we have some interesting talks. I love learning about different cultures and beliefs. The other night one of the girls decided that she needed to find Mom a suitable man to go out with and fall in love with. That was a very funny discussion. She came up with interview questions and everything!!! lol I have found that kids are kids no matter where in the world they come from. They have different cultures and traditions but fundamentally teenagers are teenagers. They make life interesting. Have a great week everyone. |
