Well folks it's almost over (Y!360 that is) and I just have not had a chance to visit all my friends pages like I was planning. Maybe I will still squeeze that in before 360 dies off.
I'm thinking this may be my last blog post on Y!360, I hate to see it go, but it is time to move on.
June was an absolutely crazy month around our household!
End of school year activities were keeping me hopping ... then one of the puppies, Hank, needed to see the vet for what we thought was a bee sting. The following week we had Hank back in to the vet and it was determined he had been bit by a spider (Black widow?) the next day we had our 2 girl puppies spayed, Patch and Georgie. Later that week I had dental work done that had me in the chair for over 3 hours. That weekend Patch's surgery incision came open requiring a visit to the Pet Emergency clinic. The next morning Hank and Gracie went in for neuter and spay surgery. For the last 2 weeks I've been catering to all the dogs who are recovering from surgery and on some kind of medication.
I guess all this craziness was too much because I got sick, along with everyone else in the house, with flu like symptoms. Guy and Jena seemed to get over it quickly but Mary and I have been sick for a week and are now going to the doctor about secondary infections. I sure hope we are over this soon and I can get back to getting other stuff done.
On the positive side of things:
The school year ended and Mary got good grades and is now a Senior. Mary also passed her Driver's License test on the first try so is now a licensed driver!
This is the first year in a long time that my girls are not taking classes over the summer, Jena is spending her time working two jobs and Mary has been helping me take care of the dogs, after she recovers from being sick she will look for a job.
All the dogs except for Oscar have been spayed or neutered, so no more dealing with dogs in heat. I decided to leave Oscar intact in case at some point in the future we really want another dog we have the option to hire him out for stud.
Now if I can get over this cold/flu/whatever it is, I have plenty of work to get done:
The projects around the yard are coming along and my garden has been growing like mad (anyone want some cherry tomatoes or zucchini?). I hope to finish all the brickwork (pathways and patios) in the yard this summer and get started on painting inside.
I have planning work to do for my final year as Booster President at Santa Su, we have a big year coming up and I'd like to finish out on a successful note. Fortunately I also have a willing VP who I will be training all year long to take over!
I also have a lot of work to put in over the next year for my CHS'80 30 year reunion which is scheduled for June 24/25, 2010.
I'm hoping everyone of my friends here has as much excitement upcoming in their lives as it seems I do. I wish you all the best.
Best Regards,

It's hard to believe nearly 2 months have passed since I last posted a blog here.
I've just been a tad busy keeping up with puppies and getting my yard and garden in order. Most all of my veggies are now planted in the garden and I look forward to seeing what makes it and how much the garden will produce for us this year.
Besides household stuff I am also gearing up for the busy season with my Booster activities, there are so many things happening between now and when the schoolyear ends June 17. This summer I will be spending more of my time working on my HS 30 year reunion which is next summer.
As long as 360 is still working (albeit slowly and with glitches) I'll keep checking my page and occassionally post a blog. If anyone is interested in finding me elsewhere check out my Blogroll (lower left on blog page) for links to most all of my other online profiles (I think I might need to add one or two to have a complete list) I don't keep up on any of them as often as I would like, but I do try to keep an eye on them all.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
