Well the show started off with a bang on Sunday in Trelawny...and what a show it was...Sean Paul, David Rudder, Machel Montana, I-Threes, Bob Marley, and many more...all in living colour. Kudos to the LOC a job well done.
Now today was the long awaited rematch between the "Worst Indies" and Pakistan. Now don't get me wrong, I am a fan of cricket but I am not too impressed with the West Indies level of play...I know they can play better...worse the BC man. Now I like the next person, do like a good game of cricket and that is why I aways liked one day matches with nail-biting finishes. Now when I here at 10:45a.m. that the WI are 7 for 1...man me heart sink. Worse when I hear is Gayle. Now guys I am not a wagonist but I must say, the WI did give us a show. I only hope that it is the first of many and that we will not be looking back at this match to lift our spirits and to continue to watch or listen to the matches. As my father always says " the ball is round, and the game ain't over till the last ball bowl" good words to remember when we loose hope.

Now I really don't know how I really going to share my time because F1 start with practice on Thursday with race on Sunday.

I wish I had a digital camera...DJ will be laughing at that one. As most know I recently purchased real estate. It is back breaking. Today I had to cut the grass and I am trying to grow a hedge out of all the colours of bougainvillea that I can find. Well the grass is cut but the hedge has to wait until next week-end for its shape-up. The yard is looking good if I don't say so myself. Plus the Man Above approved of my handiwork and allowed a few drops to fall from the sky. I want to take a picture of my handiwork I have the picture of the house when I just got it with not even a blade of grass. I remember the hot sun days of plowing and planting grass (the hard way but with the best results).The part that I hated the most was WEEDING.
Now I have a neighbour...the neighbour from hell. She only cuts her WEEDS (not GRASS) when it gets to the window height. As a result of this the wind blows all the weed seeds over into my yard and I have to WEED THEM OUT. Try speak to her...don't hold my breath. She must can see that her weeds are a bother. AWR wanted to put a little fire under the weeds but that would have damaged my property (the hedge). We are a new community and it is difficult to hate your neighbours, but the NEIGHBOUR FROM HELL is trying my patience. If she don't CUT HER WEEDS SOON, SOMETHING GONNA GIVE!

Yesterday was celebrated as Ash Wednesday. Here on the rock it is a public holiday...in translation day off from work. Well since I did not need to get up at 4:00am, I got up around 6am and decided to wash my car and scrub my car mats plus vacuum the car...only got to #2. Then I watered my garden...and began to plan my leisure day. But all I could think of was what I was going to fix for breakfast. Well at around 9:30am, I went back inside the house to fix breakfast...Corned pork and dumplings. When I finally sat down to eat...DJ calls to say he is on his way with CJ for a road trip. Did I want to join them. Now I am like a little puppy, when it comes to car rides...open the door and I'm in. So I quickly wolfed down the corned pork (it did SALT!) and got myself ready for departure.
We went through the gorge...dem a fix it up 'cause of WCC...mek the tourist drive on bad road like the natives!!!! We hit Ochi for a pit stop and fueled up more for the journey. In Ochi we stopped at a RC church (sorry can't remember the name) and saw the most awesome view of the sea. I just love nature. DJ wanted to stay a while but I said we were on private property so we should not stay long. So we saddled up and drove off. Lots of bad road were encountered but the view was one to die for. From Ochi to Oracabessa, Port Maria, Annotto Bay, Buff Bay. They have really dug up the roads for improvement. They are making some progress but the road are real bad. Saw some equipment that I need to go back for. Sweet generator and lamps. It's the teif in me, sorry. We made our way back through junction and enjoyed the view in Castleton. Then on to home. All tired but thankful for such a long drive out. It is such a nice feeling to just drive nowhere and see everywhere. We have such a beautiful country, inspite of all the problems we may face...we must give thanks to God Almighty, we are truly blessed.
Hopefully the next road trip we will take the south coast...St. Bess here I come!

Let us just say...I DO NOT LIKE VALENTINE'S DAY. Don't get me wrong, I am not single but I don't want no day telling me when I can get roses and chocolates and a good banging...if you know what I mean. My man better know that up straight. If he has to wait until February 14 to take me out to dinner well he can just go by himself. Plus the day is too stressful. Women wait endless hours and with baited breath everytime the delivery guy comes to the office to drop off a bouquet. I mean why the fuss. Here in Jamdown it is hilarious as some women will go to the extreme to send themselves flowers and candy at work and sign the card "from your secret admirer" The only admirer they got is themselves and they ain't no secret. So what gives.
Plus the lame gifts that you may get...a box of chocolate (then the gym enrollment), teddy bear (girlfriend that just means that he ain't going be around on them cold nites...so just hug up that bear). Then the roses...why roses...I don't particularly like them whatever happened to a nice orchid (you know the priceless ones).
Guys and gals lets just forget the gifts and gags tomorrow and just called it what it is...ANOTHER DAY THE MAN IS GOING TO TRY AND TAKE AWAY YOUR MONEY! So just chill don't worry about the gifts and flowers let every day be filled with love for one another
