This is an R & G Conversion Cylinder that lets me shoot .45 Long Colt out of my .44 Remington. The cylinder is to be used in the steel frame only and not used on a brass frame. The actual diameter of the .44 cal round ball used with these guns are either .451 or .454. The manuals that comes with these guns recommend to shoot the .454, and that's actually a .45 cal. and the .45 Long Colt fits right in there. Now, the ammo must be Cowboy Action Loads only. Do not, under any circumstances , attempt to shoot .44 mags or modern .45 cal. loads out of this, it could be the last stupid thing you ever try to attempt.
