Hello everyone,
PLEASE Go to www.detroitsciencecenter.org and vote for Deb&Esper (The only same-sex couple) for the Star Trek wedding :)
Love Long and Perspire :)
And once again it’s midnight Christmas eave/Christmas morning and just like last year I'm sitting here with my glass of wine, listening to my roommate snoring softly and thinking about the meaning of this holly day we are all about to celebrate.
Recently I ran across a thought… and have been posting it as part of the various answers I’ve been righting in Y!A, as well as in Yahoo IM.
"And during this holiday season let us all stop to remember the true meaning of this celebration… That Santa died for all our MasterCards." –Author Unknown-
Yes it’s funny. But it’s also poignant too. There was a time once when A toy for each child in the house, and a sweater for your spouse… A big meal on the table, and an orange in each sock… A real tree strung with popcorn, a trip to church in the morning and caroling in the neighborhood… And all of it with you family. That was Christmas
NOW we consider Christmas to be a reason to out purchase or neighbors. In this day and age of runaway unemployment, businesses all want us to believe that if an unemployed auto worker doesn’t give his mailman a twenty dollar gift card from Bed Bath and Beyond… He’s somehow cheep. Some how we have all been led to believe that Christmas is about stress and spending… That capitalism is what we are celebrating.
I think it’s time we all sat down and took a moment to remember the true meaning of this celebration… That Santa didn’t die for all our MasterCards.
Hugs, and Marry Christmas,
PennyAnn

- October 12, 2oo7Barney Frank Says It's "Unrealistic" to Expect Representation from our Representatives."
Regarding his decision to exclude transsexuals from a bill forbidding discrimination against gays and lesbians, he says:"There is a tendency in American politics for the people who feel most passionately about an issue, particularly ones that focus on a single issue, to be unrealistic in what a democratic political system can deliver... and that can be self-defeating. "
It is "unrealistic," Mr. Frank suggests, to include transsexuals in a bill
========================================================
Dear Mr. Frank,
Why is it "Unrealistic" to expect equality under the law?
I find it strange to think that an "Equal rights" bill would be REwritten to exclude the smallest/most vulnerable minority
A survey shows that 75 percent of transgender people in the Bay Area don't have full-time employment. Equally shocking: 58 percent make less than $15,333 a year.http://www.sfbg.com/40/24/x_editors_notes.html
8.3% of visible transwomen in the United States die by murder, versus 0.0055% in the general population…
http://www.petitiononline.com/xgender Using a bit of basic math, that translates into…
You are OVER 1,500 times more likely to be murdered if you are a man in a dress.
Of the last 4 transgender homicides here in the greater Detroit/Ann Arbor MI Area: ONE has been prosecuted as I type this… He turned himself in. The other three are not presently being actively investigated.
POLLAK FOUND THAT... 53%of all gender dysphonics do not survive beyond age 40
If 280 LGBT lobbing groups believe this version of ENDA is wrong why do you feel it is anything resembling "fair" or equal?
Based on the evidence at hand I am forced to conclude you are basing your support of this bill, in it’s present format, on one of two motivations.
Mr. Frank,
The Transgender community Is not asking for MORE rights than others… They are however not receiving equal treatment. [As shown by the statistics recited above.] And therefor NEED additional consideration in the laws of this nation.
As one of the TWO openly LGBT members of congress, you have assumed a vary unique position. While you are indeed first and foremost responsible to the 4th congressional district of Massachusetts, as well as the US as a whole… You have become by default the Representative if the LGBT community. And your actions in regards to this bill are nothing less than a betrayal of that responsibility.
Thanks a lot,
PennyAnn
A rebuttal to the Traditional Values Coalition article
of Aug. the 16th `o7
Traditional Values Coalition August 16, 2007 http://www.traditionalvalues.org/modules.php?sid=3124
(Larry King Aids Transgender Confusion Movement)
The homosexual/drag queen/transgender movement got a boost on August 10 from CNN talk show host Larry King.
Dear Sirs,
Mr. King is a news personality. His job is to interview interesting people. For you to accuse Mr. King of giving the LGBT movement a “boost”, for having interviewed Ms. Stanton and a few other transsexuals, is nothing les than venomous hate mongering. Mr. King was doing his job. He is NOT obliged to support either the LGBT movement or you right-wing-fundamentalist movement [I refuse to use the word “Christian” here, as Jesus taught forgiving, love and tolerance… whereas you are attempting to insight homophobic panic.] He is only required to do his job and to interview interesting people in the news.
King interviewed a number of individuals who believe they were born into the wrong body and are seeking - or already have had - so-called sex change operations.
One was Jesse Lam, who is the father of two children and had a sex change operation four years ago. He now calls himself Jessica. He told King that he felt like a woman when he was a child. He also admitted that he considers himself a lesbian.
Yes? And what is your point here? Gender dysphasia and sexual preference are two separate eschews. Who a person is on the inside and who that person sleeps with have little to do with each other. Or perhaps you are upset that this person failed to be what the homophobic portion of the public demanded of her… “Hide in the closet, pretend to be a heterosexual male, and don’t make us uncomfortable.” The truth of the matter is that most gender dysphorics try extremely hard to make the rest of the world happy by fitting in… and being miserable. Eventually though the inability to be what they aren’t leads to extreme depression.
POLLAK HAS FOUND THAT... Nearly all LGBT suicides occur between the ages of 16 and 21. One third of the first attempts occurred in the same year that subjects began publicly expressing their LGBT feelings, and most other attempts happened soon thereafter. Young men with more feminine gender role characteristics seem to face the highest risk of self destructive behavior. "Its homophobia that’s killing these kids."
POLLAK ALSO FOUND THAT... 53%of all gender dysphonics do not survive beyond age 40
Another guest was Steve Stanton, the former city manager of Largo, Florida, who calls himself Susan. King introduced him as Susan on the program. Stanton, however, has not had a sex change operation, but says he's scheduled one.
Well good for her. I wish her a happy life. Why would anyone wish her any less? It’s really unfortunate that she lost her job because of the homophobic attitudes on her city’s board of directors. She dose have an excellent case though and my vary well set some new legal presidents and standards regarding transgender rights in the workplace before it’s over.
It also bothers me that you are using masculine pronouns and refusing to acknowledge her as female. It strikes me as just one more petty dig on your part.
Stanton described wearing women's clothing as "great. It's being authentic. It's being real. It's being who you are. It's been superb."
Yes? And your problem with her wearing women’s clothing is what? She may trick you into making a pass at her?
Later in the show, King interviewed Marilyn Volker, a liberal activist who counsels homosexuals and gender confused individuals like Stanton and Lam.
Ok… This is good, Interviewing people is his job. And interviewing the people with some expertise and authority in whatever topic is being discussed is just good journalism on his part.
According to Volker, "sex is between your legs, gender is between your ears, and who you're attracted to is who you're attracted to by fantasy and thought."
Wow. This Ms. Volker seems to be pretty smart. She understands the difference.
Volker described children who have a Gender Identity Disorder as "gender variant" children instead.
So what then do you purpose to call gender dysphonic children? I have heard a mother refur to her own child as “The family queerbait” when she caught the child wearing a dress. Perhaps that is more to your liking?

TVC's report, "Will Cross-Dressing Activists Come To Your School?"
http://www.traditionalvalues.org/worddoc/092606BackToSchoolOaklandReport.doc
exposes the cultural agenda of transgender activists to claim that gender confused children are simply gender variant children who need affirmation - not therapy.
And you are advocating what? That gender dysphoric children be brought beaten into the closet, and try to be something they have no idea how to be?
"The goal is to normalize a serious mental disorder that frequently results in a child becoming a homosexual later in life," said TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty. "Some pediatricians are actually recommending that gender confused children begin taking hormones before puberty so they can supposedly 'transition" into another sex as teens. This is psychological and physical child abuse! Children who reject their own birth sex need help, not approval."
A. You are wrong. Gender dysphoriea dose NOT lead to homosexuality. It leads to transsexualisum. In truth the percentages of heterosexual to lesbian male-to-females appears to be roughly the same as in the overall population.
B. Making the assumption that gender dysphoriea dose lead to homosexuality… Don’t panic. She will not rape you.
"A Gender Identity Disorder Goes Mainstream"
http://www.traditionalvalues.org/pdf_files/TVCSpecialRptTransgenders1234.PDF describes the political agenda of transgenders to blur the lines between male and female.
Excuse me? Once again you have proven your own lack of knowledge. Depending on the doctor you are talking with, there are as many as 32 sexes. The “line is not being blurred. It doesn’t exist. You are TRYING to define sex and gender in binary. Binary is a great way to program a computer but the real world isn’t all black or white, good or evil, up or down… male of female.
Our report on the "Peeing In Peace" document
http://www.traditionalvalues.org/pdf_files/TVCSpecialReportPeeingInPeace0707FINAL.php summarizes how transgender activists are seeking to overturn policies on men using women's restrooms and women using men's restrooms throughout the U.S.
Sooo? Your argument here is that? Transgender persons don’t need to use the bathroom?
Transgender activists are seeking passage of three federal bills
that will make "gender identity" a federally-protected class under
the law. These are: Employment Non-Discrimination Act, the Local Law
Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act
http://www.traditionalvalues.org/pdf_files/S1105_HateCrimeReport2007July18075... and the Clarification of Federal Employment Protections Act. http://www.traditionalvalues.org/pdf_files/TVCLegislativeAnalysisofHR2232.php
Each of these bills must be defeated!
Why? Of what possible danger are these bills to you? Will it really hurt you to not be allowed to take a ball bat to a tranie? Or for her to be treated fairly on the job?
