It's long time, I studied the algorithm of
PageRank in one of my university course in year 2000-2001. That was a level4000 course offered by
School of Computing in
NUS called "
Text Processing on the Web" (now, changed to level5000). I was impressed at that moment. Later, as we all know, PageRank rapidly shown its power. It accelerated the growth of
Google (note: the link is pointing to the Google Suggest page, it provides the auto-complete kind of instant suggestion of related word when you typing, try it!) in an amazing speed. I would say, without the PageRank, we won't see today's Google.
Ok, enough. I don't want to talk about Google too much. There are plenty alreay. What we see today is a small cool badge which shows the PageRank dynamically for the website. It looks like the following:

You can get the detail instruction from the officak website of the provider
prchecker.info. Basically just add a piece of HTML code (i.e. just a simple image anchor link) inside your web page. See one of the real exampel at
GmailTools.com (at middle of the right side column)
If you see my ranking as "0", I would assume my blog is not popular enough to deserve a higher rank. I will catch up :)
