I am on a waiting list for Germany for the Ketamine Coma Treatment. Well the waiting list is very long and my name wouldn’t be coming up anytime soon, not at least until the year 2010. I looked into an alternative facility in Mexico. The program follows that same clinical protocols that are used in the Germany trials and the program is managed by Dr. Anthony Kirkpatrick, MD PhD out of Tamp, FL. Dr. Kirkpatrick works closely with Dr. Schwartzman here in Philadelphia and they co-coordinate care on many patients. I was accepted into the program and could have the treatment as early as July or August of THIS YEAR!!!
The cost of the treatment is less then the Germany treatment. My goal is the raise $50,000 to cover any Pre & Post treatment, travel expenses and of coarse the hefty hospital bill for the Coma Treatment Procedure. The average length of stay in Monterrey, Mexico is about 2 weeks in the ICU, 1 week in a regular hospital room and about 1 week in a hotel. Not necessarily in that order.
I have my non-profit foundation set up and have received some donations to date but need to raise much more. I plan to have a benefit dinner in early June. This will take place in the Cherry Hill area. Anyone that would like to volunteer now is the time to say so. PLEASE email me back of call me. Please remember that I
’m still sick here – that why I am going the Mexico, not because I want to eat a taco and go to sleep for 5 days. I have limited mobility in all extremities and can’t get around that well. I’m not the superwomen that I used to be. But with this treatment I WILL BE AGAIN!!!!!!!I
’m going to need baskets and items for door prizes and Chinese auction items. Do you know of any people or companies that you can ask to donate such. Example my little brother works at Applebee’s and was able to get me a $50 gift card from his job. Depending on what I end up with in the end. I can maybe pair that up with a gift certificate to the movies and call that basket "dinner and a movie" and put some movie candy inside too. Or I can get Blockbuster to donate something also, the options are endless I just need the items. We can have repeats of the same item. Larger value items would be in the door prize category.I only have 4 weeks to put this all together I need all the help I can get gathering items to be
raffled off. That is where all the money comes in. Since I have to use a catering company I am not going to make much money on the tickets. The door Prizes, 50/50, Chinese Auction and even Silent Auction are where the profit is.Do you know anyone that has season tickets to a sports game that they would be willing to donate a set? Again this is all tax deductible. Receipts will be issued for the value of the items donated
