Random thoughts that keep popping up in my head. The ones I manage to catch anyway.
I went on a hike with the Get Out Philadelphia group today. The hike was set at a place called Hamburg, PA. This time I did my homework on the routes. So before setting the GPS device, I printed a map off google maps. I found that 422 was the shortest way (not necessarily the quickest) of getting there.
Things I love about hiking.
1) Waking up really early in the morning and bothering other occupants of the house.
2) Finding out after going half-way that something crucial, (ear-muffs) have been forgotten at home.
3) There is always too much water or too less water. Too much is good, except when you have to carry it. To my surprise (maybe the GPS had something to do with it), I was the first person to reach the spot. I chatted up a guy who had come to walk his dog. There was some important information he gave me apart from the info I asked for.
Firstly, I was in the right place. :)
Secondly I had to wear some bright clothing since the hunting season was going on.
Too late, I was wearing a black jacket. Next time I plan to buy an orange vest. I don't want to get riled with buck shot. Then I reverse parked my car. Easier to get out, plus I had time to kill, while waiting for the others to turn up.

The spoon irony. I wish people would less plastic spoons or at the very least recycle them.
