President Barak Obama at 100 Days! 04/27/09

After 100 days in Office as President of the United States, most Americans must have come to some sort of conclusion about Barak Obama. I cannot speak for anyone else, but will share how I feel.
I like the man and what he has been trying to do. I think Barak and Michelle did an awesome job of representing our Country as they attended the European Summit. In one European Nation after another, they rebuilt bridges that former President Bush had left in shambles. And speaking of shambles,
President Barak Obama has worked tirelessly with his Administration to salvage the American Economy. The way I see it, George Bush took over a budget in the black from former President Clinton, and went about trying to put us so far in debt that we would never get out. Why would he do that? For his friends in his secret society. But, hopefully he is history now. And Dick Cheney with him.
But this is about President Barak Obama. He was given the biggest lemon ever, and is trying to make lemonade. I feel that if anyone can turn things around for the Red, White, and Blue, it is he and his Administration. We really do have a man on Pennsylvania Avenue now that is working for the people. All people. And his Vice President, Joe Biden, seems to cheerfully support and always back him up on everything! I have respect for Joe Biden also. And what a charming First Lady Michelle is, to be at his right arm, encouraging and supporting him. (I liked Laura Bush as First Lady also.) I have said how I feel, Now, what do you think after 100 days of change in Washington, DC? I am asking all my friends, all over the world. What do you think about this? Have a GRAND week. Mr Three

Vice President Joe Biden. A hard worker with a genuine smile!
Sometimes lately I feel like Yahoo 360 is like the photo above. It is so strange and lonely like! I could use 500 words to describe what I feel at this time. What has happened with 360 HAS MADE ME FEEL AT TIMES: SAD, LONELY, CONFUSED, DISMAYED, ANGRY, AND ABANDONED. But I also have my good memories here and with a little optimism, hope, and prayer, it could come back. Those feelings are best described as: GREAT MEMORIES, IDEAS SHARED, LOVE SHARED, PERSONAL STORIES SHARED, NEW FRIENDS MADE, AND MANY GOOD LAUGHS!
Now it is your turn, long time friends. Any thoughts on this? I bet you have many and I welcome all of them. Write a book if you are so inclined. I promise to read every word of that book! I have loved and will always love you all! Things are going fairly good on Multiply. But am always watching for a Yahoo 360 'comeback'! Mr Three

The Economic Stimulus Package = $819 Billion. 01/30/09

Today Barack Obama has been President of the United States for 10 days. Wednesday the House voted 244 - 188 to pass his Economic Stimulus Package. No Republicans voted for it, as in 1993 no Republicans voted for former Democratic President Bill Clinton's Deficit-reduction bill. Next week the Senate will debate it and vote (hopefully next week on the vote). What does it do, you ask? $275 billion goes to cutting taxes for people and businesses. 'Good Morning, Amercia' said Thursday that will be via less taxes off your paycheck this year. $450 billion goes for things like road and bridge repair, increased unemployment benefits (how many are unemployed now?), new technology, renovating 10,000 schools, the Arts, etc. I believe $150 billion would go to education spending, which doubles what that is now and would include renovating the 10,000 schools.
Here is what will be going to individual states. California gets the most = $63 billion. They need it desperately and very soon! That would be $1,700 per person there. New York gets $41 billion, which actually equals $2,000 per person in NY. Texas is right behind California and New York, with $2,700 per person. That is because of population, the formula works out better for some states. Alaska will see $2,600 per resident.
What would our 'Founding Fathers' do today? Want to know what I think? It does not matter what I think. Ha. Actually, I would remove things like money for new technology and the Arts, and try to get that through later in the year, when we see how the initial package works. I would downsize the $819 billion stimulus package to $650 to $700 billion. $350 billion of it is what former Secretary of the Treasury Paulson did not get to share with his banking buddies. Thank God, and the Congress! Congress put a stop to the last $700 billion bailout, halfway through the money, as they saw the abuse on the Evening News = no controls or monitoring with it. So maybe add $350 billion to that, get it in people's hands ASAP, and go from there. Be sure it is stressed this is a one time thing. Use it very wisely. When you buy, buy American = so there will still be an America!!! It is given with the idea that more spending will finally pump up this economy, while we still have one!!!
I am going back to bed, you deal with it! Ha. Mr Three
Many times I have blogged about Loneliness and 7 reason why I felt people are lonely. Then I said I would offer 7 solutions over the next few weeks. I gave solution 1 several times (Escaping the Black Hole!) Today, solution 2.
There is a statement I hear alot. I've been burned so many times by women that I don't want anything to do with a relationship again! And women say the same about men. Some go so far as to say they don't want anything to do with people anymore, PERIOD! This is absolutely wrong! It is most unfortunate if one person has a couple or several bad encounters. And it may not always be the other person's fault. But, I know for a fact that there are all kinds of really wonderful people out there, of all ages. I am out selling 5 days a week. I meet hundreds and hundreds of people over time. Some of my advertisrs are my good friends, some best friends. On Yahoo 360 I have exhanged messages and comments with many people from all over in my 2 1/2 years on here. Many wonderful people! People you can count on. People who care. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE BEST ADVICE IS YOU COULD EVER GIVE A LONELY PERSON? It comes in 3 parts. 1. MEET THE PEOPLE! 2. MEET THE PEOPLE! And you guessed it- -3. MEET THE PEOPLE! And when you find yourself in front of them and maybe forget why you are there, they will remind you. (Kind of kidding, there) But most people really do like to talk, to converse! And here is what they like or need to enjoy the conversation. That you or I hear what they say. Really hear what they say, Don't just nod and smile, all the while waiting and biting at the bit to lay all your wit and knowledge on them. Conversation must be 50/50. If you go on and on and never let them in, guess what. TUNED OUT! Anyone disagree? I know a guy that goes on and on, and makes sure he never ends a sentence so I can get in the conversation. Guess what? I see him coming and I'm trying to boogie it the other direction. Cornered by him is trapped and BORED. Sorry, their is no other way to describe it- -they are 'selfish' talkers. Well, sure hoping to get your comments on this! Mr Three
Want you viewers passing thru to comment also. This is a subject any dating person should want to be involved in! Actually, any breathing person!!!
I have missed my Yahoo 360 friends lots because I have always loved you!!! Three
The Big Three Automakers. A Solution? 11/20/08

The CEO's of the Nation's three big Automakers flew to Washington, asking for $25 billion of the $700 billion bailout funds, footed by we tax payers. They flew home empty handed, so far, because they came in corporate jets and left in corporate jets. One Congressman compared it to wearing a tuxedo to a soup kitchen. Another said they fly in here with their expensive jets carrying a tin cup.
Well, that is the scenario. That is the problem. Now, realizing there are excesses, what is the solution. I was taught that you do not complain about problems unless you can also offer a solution.
Here goes. Mr Three's input on the problem. There are thousands and thousands of expensive SUVs and large pickups sitting on lots all over the Country. The Execs ignored the writing on the wall for 3 years and kept making them. They now have to file Chapter 11 Bancruptcy Protection to give them time to re-organize, unless Congress comes up with something. That gives them time to come up with some creative ideas that are long overdue.
I propose first that 3 CEO's get their walking papers for thinking they were something 'special' at those Senate and House hearings. They did not even have their act together to accurately tell how they would use the funds. Replace them with some hard working, humble, and 'sharp as a whip' CEO's. Ceo's that are very innovative and surround themselves with creative people, and for much less salary and benefits. We have several around that could do the job. Sell those jets and get used to flying like the rest of us. Didn't seem to do much good anyway!
Now, what to do with the vast ocean of cars all around America, just sitting with their expensive stickers on the windows and aging while facing the elements = winter coming on? There are thousands of employees waiting for answers on this one. 3 million jobs at stake because for every one of the 240,000 employees, there are 8 other workers dependent on Detroit for their work. 3 million hard working people waiting for some sort of solution.
I offer this. I am just throwing it out there. What to do with that fleet of aging SUVs and pickups. Scrap metal? No! That better not happen? Why not sell them all at half price or two thirds price? Bring in some much needed quick cash!!!But, the Banks need to do one more thing. Lend the half to two thirds price, plus $5,000 to the Auto purchaser. Detroit only gets the half or two thirds price of the present sticker price on the window. That is better than a bailout and prevents waste. Why the extra $5,000 in the loan. For the extra gas this vehicle will use over the next 3 to 5 years, compared to smaller cars. It is withdrawn for gas. Perhaps $1,000 to $1,500 per year for the length of the loan. The bank is covered in equity. Yes, at half or two thirds price the Bank is covered for the loan and the $5,000 gas allowance. And they can earn a litlle interest on the gas portion allowance retained by them. (OR, the new owner just realizes he saved a bunch on the purchase price, and can now pay for that extra gas cost for 3 years.)
Detroit meanwhile, starts pumping out economical cars that are totally practical and fuel efficient - not objects of 'look what I have'. Let's start getting the vanity out of this Country. Let's get humble and wise! What else can we do with all those vehicles? I always feel half or two thirds is much better than none, don't you? Do you do a give away type sale selling the whole company for Euro dollars. I sure hope not! I pray not! And we certainly cannot lock gas prices at less than $2 a gallon. We very recently had $4 a gallon, did we not? Written in love. Mr Three
