I am not certain, but i think This might very well be my last Blogpost here. I have two other blogs going now, so I think it is goodbye. Not certain mind you. I want to see how the other blogs stack up. I want to see if I have the wherewithall to write three blogs a day, for i think i will blog each of the others daily, or maybe only one of theme, if one or the other of those two doesn't strike me as being what I am looking for.

Politics: a short memo to each of the Candidates: Stop kissing my ass and trying to tell me what you think i want to hear. Tell me what you plan to do in as much detail as possible. I don't understand why you feel the need totell me what you think about your opponents economic plan, tell me about yours. I don't want to know about your opinion about who the Better republican or democrat is. ask me what I want and need. Don't think that you because you are a presidential candidate, Know what i need. You don't. So Don't pretend.

That's All Folks.

Today's Nuggets: If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. Henry David Thoreau

If pigs could vote, the man with the slop bucket would be elected swineherd every time, no matter how much slaughtering he did on the side. Orson Scott Card

I have a suggestion that I think would help fight serious crime. Signs. There are lots of signs for minor infractions: No Smoking, Stay Off the Grass, Keep Out, and they seem to work fairly well. I think we should also have signs for major crimes: Murder Strictly Prohibited, NO Raping People, Thank You for Not Kidnapping Anyone. It's certainly worth a try. I'm convinced Watergate would never have happened if there had just been a sign in the Oval Office that said, Malfeasance of Office Is Strictly Against the Law, or Thank You for Not Undermining the Constitution. George Carlin

October 27 -- Go Raibh Maith Agat magnify

5.45 miles in 41:37.02 7:38.16 m/m pace I felt like i was pushing today, but one look at my time shows that I just didn't have it today. I was a little tired, and I didn't stretch alot prior to running, but I just didn't have it, only way i can say it. Hammies were tight, but that's about the only problem i had, and i've run faster with tight Hamstrings before. Good run despite all my whining, It was rainy and breezy and a little too warm for my Liking (68 degrees) but it was a pretty good day for a run. Workout was a little on the light side. 12 minutes of light weighted punch/DKB's, 12 minutes of weighted Punch/DKB's, 12 minutes of Kick drills, and a few minutes of gutwork. The sweat was nice, even if it took a lot of effort for less than the usual results.

I really am Happy that I have been able to cut my writing teeth here at 360, and I think that I have become something of a better writer. That statement should be taken with a grain of salt, tho. Before I started writing my daily blog, which is essentially nothing but a personal journal of my thoughts and feelings on the world around me, I wasn't a writer at all, in any way shape or form. Now I feel I have moved up the ranks to being an Incredibly Sub-par writer. I may even be good enough to be called a Merely Shitty writer! Now, I want to be a great writer, and When I set my heart at doing something, anything, I naturally want to be the best at it. That, However, Doesn't mean that that is going to happen, at least most of the time, and that is true here. I know that as time goes on i will refine my capacity to clearly put forth my ideas and wants, needs ,desires, and anything else i write about. Which means I have to write every day. You don't become a fast runner by running once in a while. You don't become a Good Guitarist by picking up the guitar once in a blue moon. It takes hard work, patience, diligence, and discipline, and I think i have enough of all of these things to become a better and better writer as time goes by. Thank you very much 360, for putting the thought into my head to become a writer, something i will be for the rest of my life, even if I never publish anything, or write anything of significance. I will continue to write every day until I run out of things to say, which will never happen. Kewl.

Idiot alert: Democrat Tom Lantos, a representative from california, got nasty with a group of Dutch lawmakers who were visitng The Guantanamo Bay prison this week. The representative, a Holocaust survivor himself, said the following: "You have to help us, because if it was not for us you would now be a province of Nazi Germany" and also "Europe was not as outraged by Auschwitz as by Guantanamo Bay." This man is the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs committee! Holy Shit! You wanna talk about diplomacy gone horribly wrong? This is Insane! How do you make those statements and get away with it? If W. said that, they'd Hang his ass out to dry, and I think the same should happen here. I don't want gitmo closed, and I'm sure enemy combatants there get better treatment then any of the americans and other who have been beheaded by al-Qaida, but You cannot have a loose cannon spouting stupidity like that and nothing being done about it. I am hoping at the very least he is brought before some committee somewhere to explain himself in a public way. I don't like stupid and abusive republicans OR democrats. That was wrong Tom. Apologize. Now.

That's it for me. G'night.

Today's Nuggets: As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. John F. Kennedy

One of the annoying things about believing in free will and individual responsibility is the difficulty of finding somebody to blame your problems on. And when you do find somebody, it's remarkable how often his picture turns up on your driver's license. P.J. O'Rourke

5.45 miles in 39:28.09 7:14.51 m/m pace This was Extraordinarily fast for a friday run. I am very happy with my time today. Went out with the sole intention of running with a long stride, nothing more. I ended up pushing my stride rate as well, did that about as hard as i am capable of after having been awake for 24 hours. I was hitting parts of the park a fair bit faster than the posted 7:14.5. Most excellent. Workout was nice. 12 minutes worth of Light weighted punch/DKB's, 6 sets of alternating Chinup & pushup/DKB's, 12 minutes worth of pushup DKB's, and a few minutes worth of Gutwork. 41:36.62 Total sweat time today. Good sweat day today all in all.

Early today work was busy, very busy, didn't really catch much of a break all night. No big deal. Nothing much else went on today, and I'm pretty happy about that. Slow relaxed days are happy days.

Alot going on Politically. Obama and His anti gay gospel singer furor. He Hired a guy named Donnie McClurkin, anti gay to the bone. Gay rights activist are up in arms over this, but it doesn't look like He's gonna get rid of him, but he says he doesn't agree with the mans viewpoints. Yemen released the mastermind of the Bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, and Rudy wants him. Bad. He Said america should hunt his ass down and cut off the $20 million in aid scheduled to go to yemen. America Thinks Congress Sucks. 22% approval rating for the August body. The Dummy of the week award tho goes to Fema. They staged a news conference this week about the fema response to the California Wildfires The reporters asking questions to Deputy Director Vice Adm. Harvey E. Johnson were not members of the press, but fema employees. That's a nono. It's not a press conference if the Press isn't there to cover it. Stupid. Tried to pass it off and got busted. Stupid Twice. At least they apologized. Dummies. Rudy was the only one who isn't a moron here, and that's because that one's a no brainer. My cat Roddy, aka Stupid the cat, would make the same call, if he would only stop licking his butt and sleeping long enough to put out a press release.

I heard Yahoo! 360 is closing up shop soon, to be replaced by something called yahoo mash. Question I have is, If noone is looking at yahoo 360 like this report states http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/10/23/yang-decides-to-shut-down-yahoo-360%E2%80%94nobody-notices/ Then what's the point? I'm not gonna stick around for it. I don't know how much longer I'm gonna be here, because if only a small percentageof people look at 360, what happens to mash? Same thing, the people who don't look into 360 won't look into mash. And I want to ne seen, by who? I dunno, But i want the world to read my stuff now, I think i have something to say, and it would be nice if I had an audience to hear it. Not that the crowd here i sbad, but it's almost non existant, and I want more, This blog is winding down, and I'm going elsewhere soon. It's been nice 360, but you days are numbered, My days here are numbered as well. A thank you to 360 for helping me begin my writing journey tomorrow.

That's It for me. G'night.

Today's Nuggets, Courtesy of Samuel Johnson: There are minds so impatient of inferiority that their gratitude is a species of revenge, and they return benefits not because recompense is a pleasure for them, but because obligation is a pain.

Integrity without knowledge is weak and useless, and knowledge without integrity is dangerous and dreadful.

Language is only the instrument of science, and words are but the signs of ideas: I wish, however, that the instrument might be less apt to decay, and that signs might be permanent, like the things they denote.

5.45 miles in 39:54.34 7:19.34 m/m pace Good run overall. slow early fast late. i was running very slow for me early, where i was actually 38 seconds slower than my p.r at the white bridge, a little more than a mile in. turned it on after that. Pushed very hard after i got past the skating rink for the first time. Workout was nice. 13 minutes of Burpee/DKB's, 11 minutes of pushup/DKB's, 12 minutes of Kick drills, and a few minutes worth of gutwork. 41:21.32 total sweat time. Hard sweat day overall. Nice.

Nothing to tell here. Very busy. So busy I had to finish the above Friday afternoon as an edit.

Today's Nuggets: The roses under my window make no reference to former roses or better ones; they are what they are; they exist with God today. There is no time to them. There is simply the rose; it is perfect in every moment of its existence. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Between too early and too late, there is never more than a moment. Franz Werfel

5.45 Miles in 40:35.99 7:26.97 m/m pace Started slow, pushed harder as time went on, but never full on. Pushed hard only when i found that i could and even then I would only push a little bit at a time, never kicked it up a notch fast, took my time with it. Didn't want to push too hard and do in my hammies or my quads. Played it safe and that felt like the right decision. Did kick my stride rate up pretty fast after the half way point of the second lap, tho. after taking yesterday off because i was sore and tired I didn't feel like missing more time due to overexertion. Workout was light, and for the same reason. 36 minutes worth of light weighted punch/DKB's and a few minutes worth of Gutwork. 41:21.9 total time for the whole shebang. Good one all around, happy little sweatfest.

I had in mind some sharp criticism of the Democratic party today, but i have decided not to. Just doesn't feel right. I see them as doing the right thing, and I have for quite a long time, and i think it would be difficult for me see evil where i have seen good for so long. Seek and ye shall find and other such thoughts come to mind. But I have been a little distracted today, maybe I will be able to focus a little more and a little better tomorrow. I apologize for not giving what i said I would give here today. Been busy with fiddling little crap all day, just enough to keep me from doing anything in a political vein at all, even so far as not really getting to listen to Potus on xm at all until a few minutes prior to jumping on here, and even then It didn't really interest me all that much, ended up turning on The Bob Edwards show, where i got a really nice lyric which you'll see in the quotes today.

That's about it for me. There would be more, but I'm gonna relax and go play a game on pogo. Catch y'all Later.

Today's Nuggets: Far from being a material world, this is a psychic world, which allows us to make only indirect and hypothetical inferences about the real nature of matter. The psychic, alone has immediate reality, and this includes all forms of the psychic, even “unreal” ideas and thoughts which refer to nothing “external.” We may call them “imagination” or “delusion,” but that does not detract in any way from their effectiveness. Indeed there is no “real” thought that cannot, at times, be thrust aside by an “unreal” one, thus proving that the latter is stronger and more effective than the former. Greater than all physical dangers are the tremendous effects of delusional ideas, which are yet denied all reality by our world-blinded consciousness. Our much-vaunted reason and our boundlessly overestimated will are sometimes utterly powerless in the face of “unreal” thoughts. The world powers that rule over all mankind, for good or ill, are unconscious psychic factors, and it is they that bring consciousness into being and hence create the sine qua non for the existence of any world at all. We are steeped in a world that was created by our own psyche. Carl Jung

But if men would give heed to the nature of substance they would doubt less concerning the Proposition that Existence appertains to the nature of substance: rather they would reckon it an axiom above all others, and hold it among common opinions. For then by substance they would understand that which is in itself, and through itself is conceived, or rather that whose knowledge does not depend on the knowledge of any other thing. Baruch Spinoza

I'm from the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, But the Free's in the jail and the Brave's in the grave. -- Woody Guthrie
