I am now a double-concentration in Marketing and Sports Management. Tonight was my first SM class, and it was pretty great. Our midterm assignment is to go to a sporting event (so far, it's a Sox game!) and write a paper / give a presentation on it. The prof is bringing in loads of great speakers from all over sports including the Chicago Sky and the Chicago Bears. I am ridiculously excited about this. My grandpa is probably doing cartwheels.

Just got back from Cafe Negro on my last night in New Orleans - I'm sitting in the hotel lobby because, well because.

This week had its ups and downs, but has been pretty good for the most part. I got to know a lot of my classmates a lot better, and some not so much - that's just how it goes, I guess.

I'd love to come back to New Orleans on my own, because although we've all done a lot around town, I still feel like I'm missing something here. The music has been fantastic, the people friendly and the food spicy. Even though it's been the scariest, the French Market / Faubourg / Marigny areas at night are my favorites. Such a good place for a writer or artist. You can literally feel the angst, depression, brokenness and soul searching over there.

Still, I can't wait to get back home due north to Chicago - even if it is snowing. I think I'll rank New Orleans in my top 5 US cities list when I get back.

Finally!!!! Autumn is here!!! October is my favorite month, followed closely by November. I am super psyched! Maybe I'll make a bigger, better pumpkin snake this year, we'll see how much time I can dedicate at the end of the month.

Ok, a question - just something that's been bothering me for a while. Why do people accept friend requests on social networking sites and then never correspond with you again? If you didn't want to be connected in the first place, why did you accept the invitation?

Secondly, why do people who claimed they never wanted to talk to you again read your blogs and look at your profile every single day?

What's up with that? Just email me and we'll put water under the bridge already. Gosh!!! (<--- exclaimed like Napoleon Dynamite)
