ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM:- Skid control & reduce braking distance in a bike.

DESCRIPTION:

It was up till  now the technology of antilock braking system used in four wheelers but now it has

been implemented   in  two wheelers in our project Anti lock Braking System in Bikes.The project is fabricated on a bajaj caliber bike.The figure below shows model prepared using pro-E  software in which various components used  in project are fixed.

WHY ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM IN BIKES?

As two wheelers are more unstable in comparison  with four wheelers so there are more chances in bikes of getting skid on slippery roads or there are chances of an accident during panic braking. This can be avoided if the similar technology  of antilock braking system used in cars is used in bikes. In this brake fluid pressure is increased & then decreased in very short interval of time. This action of increasing & decreasing pressure will respectively stop & rotate the wheels. This will build the necessary traction or grip between wheels & road thereby giving the rider a steering control & thus saving an accident. Therefore ABS can prove as a life saving guard

1) Period  -  july 2005-september 2005

Leading manufacturer of wide variety of supermax blades, razors, shaving creams & brush.

Designation-Graduate Engineer trainee in quality control department for 2months.

Role- To check quality of blades using different gauges & to get know how & hands on practice of machineries of various departments   viz    punching press, furnace, grinding, surface finishing, auto coating, cold rolling mills & injection molding.

2) current employment-7^th November  2005 onwards

Designation:-Management Trainee in  Capsule Printing Department.

Role:- To look after following

1)      Preventive maintenance of capsule printing machine which involves overhauling of gear drives, blowers, pneumatic actuators & solenoid valves, replacement of worn out bushes & bearings etc
