When I moved to Wyoming to work in the Oil Fields to make enough money to go back to college I had to sell it because it was NOT a car for the High Snow Country.

I will miss that car forever.

Well me and the GF drove up to Cloudcroft and immediately drove back down the Mountain.

What A Tourist Trap that place is in the Summer.

Anyway:

We decided to go on the Nature Walk at White Sands....both of us have been to W.S. several times but we had never followed the Park Ranger around and it was a damned fine experience.

I thought I knew it all, and I learned a lot.

White Sands is a Mystical place.

We got lucky and got to see a Major Thunderstorm over the San Franciso Mountains with a Major Lightning Show....and a Breathtaking Sunset (common in New Mexico).

BTW:

My legs and butt muscles are sore from walking up the Dunes...be prepared for a bit of exertion if you go on the nature Walk.
