Well 2 1/2 weeks ago I figured out what had been eating my cats' food....a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Cute little fellow , cats hate him, Lucy tolerates him. I think he's been dumped, not too uncommon where we live. At first I thought he was an Australian Cattle Dog (That's what I had put in the paper's lost and found section ) then I did more research on line and realized that Cattle Dogs are not tricolor. Looking up Corgis revealed the real breed of this dog. Yes, I fed him dog food. I caught him with cat food on a Wed, he let us pet him and then disappeared for a few days. Reappeared on Sat. looking pretty hungry so I gave him some dog food and he has not left since. He's a real sweetie, not real old and definitely needs more manners. But he's very pretty, very sweet, and is 100% convinced that he is home! I have contacted a Corgi Rescue to see if anyone has been looking for him, the Humane Society called me (only call my ad attracted) and the lady there went thru 16 pages of lost dogs...no Corgis! I then called all the local vets offices to see if anyone has reported him missing...NOTHING! Why do people dump animals??? I can hardly stand to drive away from the house...he looks so heartbroken! Now if only I could teach him manners and get the cats to come out from hiding beneath the house then it would all be good. Oh yeah, and give him a real name. We can't seem to come up with anything that we really like. But he loves to go for walks, is one heck of a guard dog, and goes positively NUTS over a basketball!!!! He herds it and chases it all over the yard! Too funny!!!!!

Two jobs so far........one horrible and one good.  Wonder what the next ones will be like?  They were both half-days which I think I like best.  I can still get Alanna ready for school and clean out the horses' stalls and "babysit" students.  The only bad thing is, I can't tell Alanna in the morning when I drop her off if I will be picking her up or GG or Papa.  Oh well, she knows there's a chance I won't be there and she adjusts.
