Mural Painting Contest: Will be sharing another one of my brother's achievement. He created a design for a mural contest and it was chosen to be one of the top 7 contestant ... then they have to compete with eachother on a On the Spot Competition ... one whole day of painting their own wall ... and after the day the judges will choose whom among the top 7 is the Grand Prize Winner .....

Sharing some thoughts from my good friend :

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional

Your never to old to become younger. I don't know what the big deal is about old age. Old people who shine from the inside look 10 to 20 years younger. Wrinkles should merely just indicate where there smiles have been so often.

I just pity those who don't learn from all the mistakes made through out their younger years. Many just keep remaking those same mistakes over and over again. Am I missing something here? I see so many doing this. What will it take for some to realize they screwed up. Learn and grow. I hate reruns. Don't make your life one! Age should bring with it more wisdom and that can only be obtained through trial and error through out our lives. We will never stop learning or growing in age or intellect. We are examples for our young to follow. Remember when you were a child. Did you not look at adults for guidance and as examples. Well; your here now. Time to start leading by example.

When it comes down to the mental aspects of growing old. I personally never really feel I'm getting older. If you are still creative, you don't have age or time against you. Nobody grows old merely living a number of years. People grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest wrinkles the soul.

It is not the years in your life but the life in your years that counts. The older I get; the more goals I'm able to reach and the more goals I want to reach. They will never stop for me. Nor do I ever want them to. I've always been proud of my age. I think people should be proud they've been around long enough to have learned something. Like a new broom sweeps clean, but an old one knows the corners.

As a child I learned, as an adult I understand! There's many advantages to growing older. One being we can stand for more and fall for less. Live your life and forget your age. You can't stop time and the aging process but you can look at it differently.

Your truly only as old as you feel. If I just lay around I feel like I'm close to death. When I'm surfing or water-skiing I feel like 16. If you quit moving you will begin to rust. What is age in the hour glass of life. People see themselves after 30 as going down hill. Your only most likely just a third into your life. I looked at 30 as starting my life. Much wiser, more in control and so many more goals I'm able to reach and want to reach.

We may not look like we did at 16 but how do we feel. I loved being 16 but I love being 48 too. Life is continually moving. Enjoy the ride and don't ever think you missed the bus; just jump on the next one that comes around. Your life isn't in the past; it's now and in the future. We all have some wonderful and some painful memories in our past. But we have plenty more memories to make. The only real difference is now, we are much more wiser learning from our past mistakes.
So hopefully we've learned from those and can go on to make some more great memories as we grow older! It just gets better if you let it! Rich R 8/12/08

My Brother's 37th Bday: Last July 5 .. my brother turned 37 and the shop is closed and we went to a resort in Bulacan ( it was 2 hrs away from our place ). The whole family is there together with my sister-in-laws family and my co-workers. We all had a wonderful time ... here are some pics ..

Update ... :): It has been a long time since i last post a blog .... been busy with life and family. i will share some of the fundest memories of the past few month ... and here are the photos. First is the celebration of my Mother's Birthday last May.

It was a simple celebration with the whole family ... my brother and his family came all the way to the house . The important thing is that our Nanay is happy , eventhough she got older.

Then the next set of pictures are with ate Hazel and Kuya Greg.. during the last day of my brother's solo exhibit. My family are so honored to have them and get to met them both.

After that, ate hazel and kuya Greg wanted to visit me at work before they go back to Australia. Ate Mele and Alex also showed up so that they can see ate hazel and Kuya Greg also. We have shared alot of great memories, laughters and it shows with our pictures.

I cant thank you enough for this two wonderful friends of mine here on 360. Ate Hazel and Ate Mele thank you for the friendship. I will always treasure our laughter together and all the great memories that we shared.

Sharing a thought from a good friend of mine ....

Shoot for the moon. If you miss you will still land among the stars. To know success is waking up every morning feeling good about the day. Knowing yesterday is long gone and tomorrow is still just tomorrow. Today is the only day you need to be concerned about. Is success measured in money? No! Success is measured through the heart. I've met homeless people living in shelters who in my mind are successful. They can have a smile in there heart, hold no grudges, have no enemies and spent most of there past life giving everything they had trying to make this world a better place. That to me is success. To me everyone stands on equal ground. It's those who have achieved peace of mind, love life and lived it well are truly the one's who are successful.

Those are the pictures ... taken last friday April 18, 2008 at the ART CENTER bldg. A 4th level Megamall ... the exhibit will run until May 5 ... happy that things worked out and everything are all positive out come ( my brother sold some of his paintings already ... its been open for 4 days now .. God is so good and He has been blessing and guiding us ) Mr Chavit Singson bought 2 big paintings and 3 small ones.
