Another artist caught my eye yesterday and since I went back to look again, it's probably worth writing about. This time it's Gerald Davis, whose hauntingly dark paintings of half-idyllic, half-highly-disturbing scenes has me mesmerized. The emotion I feel from these works is almost overwhelming. A sense of personal loss and dread mixed with bleakness is worth a look.

While I was browsing around the Saatchi Gallery online, I saw Luis Gispert's work. It stands out because it's so oddly creative. He literally travels around with props to set up photoshoots with natives that are completley out of context. The image above is his piece - My Conquistador... brilliant stuff.
